  Good news for IR fans. The following films are accepted by Ilayaraja.

  3. VANTHAANGA JEYICHCHANGA - SATHYARAJ

  5. NAME UNKNOWN - DIR. C.SUNDAR
  
  The thing to be noted is, these people went away from Raja and back with Raja by themselves. Raja never minded their negligence. This is the starting of another projected boom in Raja's career.
  
  "KAADHALUKKU MARIATHAI" has defeated all previous records in Tamil Cine Industry so far.

  When I saw this Movie in Bangalore (Nataraj)
  recently ,when IR's name came up in the titles
  and when Ennai Thallatta Varuvala started,
  the whole theater resounded with makkal's visil!!

  Downfall yellOrukkum common. Indraya peyarayum pugazhayum vaiththukkondu 'independent'Aga irundhukondu isai vinodhangaL seyvadhudhAn sariyena padugiradhu! His sticking to tfm is more like a stigma than anything, now!
  
  3) mElE koduththa listil uLLa padangaL nichayamAga 50 nAL OdumA? varuththam yennavendral andha listil uLLa (except Sivaji the great, and C sundar) matra yella actors and directors, IRai return wagon Aga use pannugirArgaL enbadhu nanrAga therigiradhu! So, IR is very much in the thick of the controversy again. He is in the quagmire! He cannot come out and perform independently!
  
  4) Bouncing ball Aga irundhu piragu also ran Aga mAri yenna payan? Raaja should go on world tour! He should show interest in releasing his sym. no.1
  He should bring out India 24 Hours on cassettes in India. Nobody knows about I24 in India. He should perform carnatic music on stage. He should use his recording theatre to bring out solo musical albums! Let him invest his money to release his albums and prove that tfm is not the end of it. IvvaLavu vaiththukondu, lotuk lotuk enru uppuchappu illAdha kuppai padangaLukku music pOdavillai yendru yAr azhudhArgaL? Talk about Raaja scoring music for movies like "Annan" How on earth can Raaja score music for stupid movies like Annan where there is hardly any stuff in it except "Amma sentiment" and the like. I was listening to Annan songs, and Raaja has definitely done well. In fact, he has done some 'controlled testing' of melodies in some of his songs. Great! But, who cares? How many will listen to the "Amma songs" except you and me? It sucks Sathya!! Look into the upcoming tamil movies section in Hindu. Hindu calls veera thAlAttu "amma sentiment movie" I hate to read that!!
  
  5) Its just addiction,(yes addiction)that Raaja is fighting! Its money, name and position. He has more reasons to worry now. His sons, daughter, etc., And when money comes, nothing else matters. With the available talent, he can just churn out some stuff, out of which, at least one or two, for trivial reasons will hit the box office! And on goes the story........
  
  And we IR fans shall keep talking about "hey, that song in this movie is out of the world, did you listen? No? Oh Man, you are missing something in life" kind of things around.
  
  There is nothing i can rejoice about, Sathya! I only pity Raaja!
  
  The fall from the first rung of the ladder is better than the fall from the 25th rung, always!!

  Guys:
  In this list of "Ditchers", I think you are definitely right about P.Vasu, Vijaykanth & Sathyaraj who for whatever reasons decided to boycott IR in their movies. I am not so sure about Prabhu, because in 90's, there still were some movies of Prabha with Music by IR, such as Uthamapurushan, Chinna Vathiyaar, Periya Kudumbham(with some great songs in these movies). So, it could have been the decision of the producers and/or the directors of Prabhu's movies that decided to opt MDs other than IR and Prabha, probably never had any say in that or diplomatically kept a low profile.
  
  C.Sundar has always stuck with Sirpy and for his last film( NINI ) he went to KR and now he is climbing up to IR( I wonder why! ). C.Sundar is one of the directors caught up in TFM politics and the recent tiff, maybe some of these directors are going back to IR to strengthen their side - I just wonder!!!
  
  Gopal, howevermuch I would like to see IR do many good movies and produce more great TFM songs for me(us) to listen to, I do agree with you in that IR should reduce his take of TFM to a handful of good films per year( quarantine himself from the parasites ) and concentrate more on private albums, musical innovations/experiments, symphonies, etc.( all that good stuff ) that would boost up his reputation( of IR, of a Tamilian, of an Indian, of an Asian, or any which you like ) sky high( to the satellites and hence to the global village ).
  But, then, I have seen this Film people stick to that field like an addict( or as a parasite ) only to get dragged into the quagmire and get drowned into oblivion. I guess, IR is no exception to the rule!!!

  Whatever be IR's reasons for agreeing to score Music for these guys, I am happy
  because I can get to hear more music from IR. As far as Non Film Albums go, He is always
  up to something and he is so immensely talented scoring music for movies like Annan
  does not affect the quality of his non film albums. We have HTNI,NBW,I24H as proof.

  Gopal, I have quite the other opinion. I think , IR should stage a comeback and enjoy total domination again just as he had during eighties and drive out the entire PR team out of business - Also to prove the sckeptics who keep saying that IR ran out of stuff , ARR is better than IR etc..
  
  Film/Non-Film - I want IR to be # 1 again until a really better- I mean really better MD appears in TFM.

  guys,
  check out latest issue on the web of SCREEN available at wwww.mahesh.com which is BTW one of the best indian sites for music,news etc.in south screen sundar in an interview has told that IR is going to be the MD for his next film which is going to be a thriller with parthipan in the lead.
  he is not going to try comedy atleast for sometime.

  Raja is never planning a comeback, as he doesnt have to comeback or go forward. He stands high in a pedestal thats hard to comprehend for other counterparts. C'mon guys, he has been doing these for the last 20 years without staleness, that itself is a achievement.
  Know anybody in the world who has continuously worked in his profession for 20 years almost 16 hours a day. He is a gifted musician true, but ffirst a human being, the human mind must surely be bored of doing the same stuff. So, in spite of that if Kadhalukku mariyaadhai is making waves means that raja's mind sprouts up in a burst when he comes across well made movies with a good story line.
  So, we people keep nagging him to do that or do this. He has already done everything, let others do a bit of what he has done and then we can discuss about how raja must do this or that. By the way we have witnessed a legend during our period, for which we must feel proud. So, lets rejoice his old melodies and expect some new experiments. I think we keep on expecting from him as if he is a melody making machine. Human mind ages and so does creativity, in spite of all these if he can still do wonders then ......... i dont have words to describe it. I f you are gonna counter argue that raja himself has said that he has not given his best, then thats the quality of a true professional, they are never satisfied with whatever they do.
  Finally let us wait for the symphony, which goes well, with all of your views that raja ought to do non - filmy albums.
