Srinivas - Melodious Singer in TFM

Dear Friends and Music Lovers,
At present , I think Srinivas's voice is melodoius and suits most of all the situations.He has sung for almost all MDs like IR, ARR, Deva to name a few. His songs like OO Lalal la, Minsara Poove, Apple Pennae and of course his debut song Sorgam Enbathu Nammakku with Swarnalatha from Nammavar are all time hits. His latest albums like Ussele Ussele , Paarvai are smash hits.
So guys, I request you PPL to put forth you views on this singer who is getting good chances in TFM.

  He sure is a great singer, and my favourite too. I like his song in Ratchakan, "kanava illai kaatra" and "Anbe sugama" from Parthale Paravasam. they r just great!!!

  As for Anbe Sugama.....if you have the opportunity listen to the telgu version by SPB. SP's version is out of this world!!!

  Jyothi: I too heard both the version, but I feel, Srinivas has done wonderfully well. Also, checkout "Maname Maname" (can't remember the Karthik film) which has 2 versions (Srini & SPB). Let me know, which is better ...

  In Maname Maname from Rojavanam, Srinivas was certainly better than SPB, even in Anbe Sugama,
  And also no one should forget Chotta chotta naniyuthu and the part of Karisal tharisal from TajMahal sung so nicely by Srini.

  Listen to it again. SPB shows a lot of emotion in that song. His pronounciation, enthu and his breath control are far better than srinivas.
  Srinivas is a good singer but don't compare him with SPB.

  'Manasellam' has a duet (forgot the beginning of the song) sung by HH and Sadhana sargam and the same song was sung by Srinivas and Sadhana sargam. I felt srinivas's version was better than hariharan's. Listen to them in www.raaga.com

  Any playback singer who keeps quoting HH as his idol cannot be all that good. Pity these singers who have minimum awareness of the TFM past singing standards.
