I am really impressed with the songs composed by Barani for the movie "Parvai Onrae Podumae". It reminds the early years of IR. Does he have a good chance of becoming a popular and mega hit MD. I would like to know your opinion.

Yeah he was good. But you see you need a real big chartbuster in your intro movies. Imagine Harris without vaseegara. But Preveen mani who has made some goodies, but without nothing much of a chartbuster is keeping low.

I like the album "Parvai ondrae podhumae". Nice songs. The duet with Swarnalatha is my favorite. Good use of Swarnalatha in a long time.

'Parvai onDRe Podume' is a real good album., 'thuLith thuLi'., 'Thirumpa Thirumpa', 'Asainthaadum kaaTRukkum' and 'Thirudiya Idhayaththai' are my favourites. Pa. Vijay has done good job with the lyrics.,
I was in tamil nadu for the past 5 days traveling a lot and I could hear 'Parvai onDRe Pothume' Songs in every bus - every tea stall, May be it doesn't have a chartbuster as kk pointed out, but it has created an impact on TFM - a very good impact I should say, Bharani is working for four movies now.

If he is Sada Bharani, he was/is IR's assistant I think. The influence shows in his music. He has scored BGM for the teleserial Gopuram. Any other info available on him?

Bharani's latest interview. There is mention of IR, but he has not acknowledged his genius or what he learnt from him.

bharani has really made a mark with his first film "POP"(paarvai onre) despite the film lacking proper starcast publicity and stuff.
it is to be appreciated that the youngster has not relied on the big budget .
it mighht have e very serious death blow for mds like deva who just live on plagiarising and copying
keep up and do more hits

mallika murugesan,
POP is not his first album, He already did 'PeriyaNNaa'., which had a good song 'Nilavee Nilavee'
kk,
Looks like some saNdai betweek Vikranam and SAR, Bharani is the MD for Vikraman's next movie, As future_man said, It is a real good oppurtunity for Bharani to do a Vijay - Vikraman Combo !

I think the song "Asaithidum Kattruukku" is too good. I am so addicted to this 1 song. The middle portions of the raagam remind me of some raja number, but can't figure out which one. Does any1 Know?

It reminds me of 'Ponmane ponmane' from a Ramarajan movie (AnbukkattaLai??) and Vanna nila vanna nila from the movie KattaLai.

I see this "Asainthadum Katrukkum...", i see one line is missing from the recording. Probably censored. is it this line which starts "thoppulil dhagam..."

Hi,
Now TFM has two types of MDs
one is IR based
and one is others
Barani is a IR based
TFM cannot ignore IR style at anytime

Alagu,
That line is "Thoppulil dagam kongaikal vegam". Well written song. But, if you see the meaning of the lines, they have double meaning sometimes and straightaway talking about "Love making". But, in my opinion there are three best songs, because of U.K., H.H.,K.R., S.J., Swarnalatha(Nee Engae....from Chinna Thambi), and Chitra. The songs in order of listening,
1) Asaindadum Katrukku...
2) Thirumba Thirumba Pathu Pathu...
3) Thuli Thuli...
