Melody songs are like staying with ur mother and feeling very homely and on contrast hearing dabanguthu is like going out to a party!

I haven't lived with my mother for 18 years, but I have partied for 20 years and intend to party on 'til I die and this is supposed to mean that I don't like melody? Nalla kooththappaa.

Ramki - your post is more like "songs for my wife when we want to party" - a smilar query was raised by Aththa somewhere else :-)
that aside - Don't you think it is a little early for you to collect ? :-)

in MUSIC the first letter "m" stands for melody...
without that it becomes usic(u sick)

The entire universe is set off in a rhythmic harmony, and as humans we, naturally (unless driven by opposing forces) are drawn towards harmony which definitely melody is and I think this's the reason. The same dappanguthu will linger longer if it has some melodious notes...

Perhaps, its because it is more pleasant (and easier?) to hum a melody.

Karthi, congrats for perceiving 'AUM' as the origin of all sounds and as a representation of God. Please enlighten other lesser mortals like us.
