usage of drums by ir in different times

guys this is csg again, i was watching agni natchatram the other day, i observed after 'AN' ir was using different kind of percussions/drums for every movie, and the best part is that whatever drums he used in the previous movie is not used in the next movie,even arr follows the same way, OH LORD PLEASE ANSWER MY PRAYERS

  As time goes drum surfaces change from one animal
  to another animal skin.
  And at last to digitised version- electronic drums
  or plastic drums whom ARR used.
  Anyway you could hear synthesies drum version in
  Ram Ram...Hey Ram. which is called pre recorded
  drums
