IMPORTANT NEWS
Deva not only copy a song even he capable copy other’s BGM
If we said IR is a genus in producing BGM then Deva is genius in copying BGM. Once I thought that he is good in BGM when I saw ‘Kushi’. But I noticed that he copy some BGM from film Hindi Call “Sangam”……if u guys want to know which part does he copied go and watch Sangam at scene when raajkapoor decide join in air force..

Deva has copied quite a bit of BG score as well...
watch baadshah, the scene where Rajnikant talks to the college chairman, they just show them behind a glass wall and no dialogues heard...the score is a direct lift from Terminator-2 title score by brad fiedel.
Will give u more...

Yes. In the movie "Unnai Thedi" (*ing Malavika & Ajith), somewhere at the very beginning when showing a scene in NZ, this bgm piece was an exact lift from the beginning of a Deep Forest song, tho it jus lasted for several seconds.

Talk of the devil, I was watching Red yesterday guess what he lifted BGN from Mission Impossible and Golden Eye. We have to send him to Pakistan and have him shot by our own forces.

I'm not an avid Deva fan, but sometimes he does suprise me with his BGM work. (not too sure wether it's inspired or his own work)
for example in the movie "MUGAVRI" there is a beautiful theme that comes throughout the movie and later is played as a guitar solo, this motif is then futher devolpoed and then flows into the tune of one of the verse in movie.
this instrumental theme is also played in the final rolling credits. has anybody else heard this ?
another example is "KALKI" , there is an Aalap by Hariharan at the start of the movie (with the statue) however the aalap then goes into a melodious humming which is heard throughout the movie, also as an instrumental and again in the final credits, some of the tune however resembled a Nusret Fateh ali khan number in film soundtrack of Dead man walking.
there is this short bit song,in the movie CHOCKLET (that's how it's spelt in the title) that is played throughout the movie, when the lovers meet, split up, re-unite..etc.
which also comes as an instrumental in the movie.
In the final credits it's titled as "love theme" written by the producer R.Madesh.
PORKAALAM had a beautiful BGM score to it, nice vocal work and great instrumental music, the theme that is hummed as a vocal in the final scene when Meena recalls the good times that she has had as porkaalam.
I'd prefer to listen to a BGM (even it is copied) than to listen to "la la's " "aha aha's" repated over and over again.
