Is Kamal compromising with the market condition?

Hi frinds, just I listened the Thenali movie songs. Even after 3 repetitive listening, it could not impress me. As we know, Kamal expect perfection from all the sides. That kind of Kamal, how come accepted these songs and sung some songs too.

  Kamal and ARR doesn't have good rapport.
  
  There was some misunderstanding between Kamal and Shankar during the making of "Indian".It goes something like Kamal expressing his unsatisfaction about ARR's work he even suggested to Shankar to try some other MD as ARR was taking more time.But Shankar stuck to ARR.There was the feeling Kamal's influence was almost absent as far as the music was concerned.But the music turned about to be great.
  
  In Thenaali,I think Kamal didn't have that much say on the music(the fact Kamal sang 2 songs surprises me).I think it is KSR's influence.
  KSR's music selection is surely not his strong points(in my opinion at least).
  
  Recently,there was a news in JV which I think is about Shankar and Kamal having some difference of opinions about ARR.Shankar is strong it would be ARR.But Kamal likes to have him replaced.But I think ARR will stick on as Shankar is the boss here.Summava 15 Crores kudhuthangaa.

  It seemz ... dat Kamal .. as always sings a song in all his movies. And so insisted on singing in the movie Indian. But ARR (thankfully!!) said no, and stood his ground. Since then, Kamal does not like ARR. Datz y u didn't c his music in Avai Shanmughi, Kadhala Kadhala and Hey Ram. Now, KSR is the one who insisted that they have ARR for the music. And again, I guess Kamal whined and finally ARR gave in and let Kamal sing. Also, ARR did not have much time to compose the Album. But still, its quite good.

  On Kamal's insistance the name Alavandan is now changed to ABHAY. A typical Bengali name, as Kamal always adores Calcutta and Bengalis. He should not forget the average tamil audience is Soman or a Kuppan and not a sophisticated TREND or SUNDER

  Looks like these threads have been started to show Kamal in poor light. One guy blames him for choosing ARR and another guy blames him for not liking ARR.
  
  Theva mentions that ARR wouldn't let Kamal sing and that's why Kamal doesn't like him. Give us a break. BTW, almost every song Kamal has sung is a hit! He is better than many of the so-called singers in the Tamil field today. Even in Thenali he has done a good job.
  
  My spin -- Kamal likes IR and will use him for his home productions. For outside productions, he will go with what the director, producer wants. The reality is that ARR music sells like hot cakes and hence the demand for him.

  As far as I see Kamal says nothing about "Thenaali" or anything (music related) in Anandha Vikadan.
  
  Theva you can write the story for Shankar's next movie with ARR as MD. It sounds silly when you say Kamal insisted on singing for Indian. Even under IR's direction, it was IR who insists Kamal to sing rather than vice versa as you said. Anyway
  'Aalangati' is the only face saver in "Thenaali". Sukwinder Singh or Udit Narayan or even HH would not have done justice to the song as Kamal did.
  
  When you don't have time, why to be a MD? Just for money? Give it a break friend.
  
  Comments, I agree with most of your comments excepting the last line. ARR's songs are no more hot cakes (Sales of Alai Paayudhe, Rhythm, Thenaali are examples). That is the reason ARR fans started talking about his Hindi album 'Zubeida' which not many listened to so far.
