Does anybody have karaoke albums in Tamil? Apparently being made in S'pore. Can someone give me a list of the songs available on these already?
My first Karaoke CD is to be released soon!! ( IR's hits!!including "appappa from the film jappanil kalyaanaraaman")
What songs would all of you want on Karaoke..for my next album?
Your help much appreciated..

  Dr. Siva - I must congratulate you on your enthusiasam and initiative.
  I do not know about Singapore, but here in Malaysia there are several karaoke videos featuring Tamil songs, and they have been in the market for quite some time. Songs featured are the popular hits and invariably most of them are of IR! Without wishing to dampen your enthusiasm, I must add that they are not particularly sought after though. But that's because the Indian community here are not particularly fond of singing in public (as in Karaoke bars). I haven't seen any (:-)) therefore I can't talk about the quality of those released. If you "really" want, I guess I could find out the address of the local distributors.

  Karaoke CDs in Hindi for hindi films are in the market since more than a year...and Aniruddh from Calcutta makes the best quality recordings on CD. These are sought after in North America and people have parties regularly at home with karaoke machines.
  There has been an awful lot of requests for these in Tamil out here. The presently available karaoke in tamil, I was told, are not that good in quality..These are from S'pore ...I gather..from my friends.

  However I am looking for Hindi Karaoke VCDs, can't seems to find any except one on LD from Esquire Songs from Dev Anand movies fantastic collection.   I do have some good collection of Tamil Karaoke songs in cassette / cd. I am living in Abu Dhabi - UAE and we have been performing many programs with these Karaokes here in UAE. There are plenty of Hindi Karaoke available rather than Tamil ones. I have been told that the Tamil Karaokes are available in M'sia.
