Dheena & Vanchinathan

Can anyone give a review of Dheena and Vanchinathan please.

  imo...dhina is ok & sounds different..and is doesnt require the hype which tfm page has given...

  There is a similarity and difference in both YSR and KR composition similarity is both is more influence by spanish music both insturment wise and tunes wise. Now in Dheena YSR has tried more techno sounds and also spanish style of music.
  KR on the other hand in Vanchinathan for two songs 'amul baby' and 'muthum ida' has tried a different kind of fusion disco type with indian instrument but i really doubt how our tamil audience will like these sounds.
  And one more KR is supposed to be good in melody but in Vanchinathan there was nothing there,a severe disappointment for KR fan like me :(
  Hope he does justice in ManiRatnams film atleast if at he wish to continue in TFM.
  Whereas Dheena u can say a big break for YSR as more people kind of like his songs going by the execelled casette sales so he has better chance than KR
  reminds us of IR and his younger brother Amaran only in this case looks like the younger one is going to make it big!!

  Last year Sirpi's Kannan Varuvan and Vidyasagar's Sinaegitheye had good songs Similarly Dheena has couple of good tunes and VN also has one good song.TFM' forum Ithink are little bit extra excited on Dheena's music a.a

  People can perceive Dheena songs in different manner. But everybody must agree in one thing. Dheena is certainly different. Whether you like the difference or not, it is. For me dheena songs are really great. I enjoyed dancing with Vatikuchi. What a song!!

  YSR always used techno sounds compared to KR. What do you mean by Spanish style? YSR has some style similar to western pop album. Difference is you can hear the lyrics clearly. KR inherits the qualities of IR + keeping pace with current trend. Vanchinaathan has an excellent melody (Roja Chinna Roja) and 3 past paced songs. They are catchy after few hearings. Both are very decent albums by any standards. Who stays is decided by the success of the movie, bit of Luck etc., (Pure merit will not decide always! :-) )

  I used to frequently visit ur site and listen to ur good collection on Rajas songs. And is no wonder you are here defending KR and YSR. I have not criticsed YSR or KR but rather given my observation.
  If you listen to KR albums from 'Cholare' songs and other in tamil you will observer lot of time he has used spanish style and same with YSR.
  ofcourse i would like to mention depending on how u use the instruments,chords pattern,rthym pattern makes song into the category of Jazz,Pop etc u can make a song sound like POP,R&B or Jazz based on this but still do it with originality and creativity a rarity in these days I think IR has given some great Jazzy songs ,can anyone recollect Jazz songs of IR there is a great piece with trumpets in Ellam Inba Mayam starring Kamal and also one in 'Adutha Varisu' starring Rajini if i am right song is 'Aasai Nooru vakai' its also a superb Jazz peice.
  And also one last word everybody now possess synth,rthym workstation etc but only few come up with original songs so mere having technology doesnt help you ,you still need some masala to give great music once again i am not criticsing any of the rajas here

  While posting we defend/critize/add our opinions. Did I say that you critized KR/YSR?. Looks like you have not visited ARR's page in my audio site. Ofcourse I am IR fan. It is techno trend now. And KR/YSR is no exception.
  
  Well, Bhavadharini becomes MD. Entire family of IR are MD's. May be this is an distinction in TFM.

  Hi there I think you can get your own opinion by listening to these 2 movies' songs at www.raaga.com (this is not an ad, I've got no interest with raaga.) I often go to there before buying a CD.
  
  I think getting the opinions of other people is not important for music, cause each one has his own taste. For example here at newtfmpage there are fans of IR in one hand and fans of ARR on the other hand. ARR fans would say that IR songs are not so good, while the others would say the contrary.
  So follow your feelings...
