want to go back in time?

What an interesting notion!
if you could go back in time which are the 5 events you would like to be in tfm?
my choices in this regard would be
1)First recording of annakkili
2)recording of andhimazhai pozhigiradhu-a majestic song-this was the one which "converted"me to IR
3)Recording of punnagai mannan songs-IR composing and ARR feeding those songs to give the first computerised music in tfm
4)first recording sessions of roja
5)composing sessions for kadhal oviyam.
ah...those days when raja was THE raja.
being a HCIRF,these are my obvious choices
others may have their own.

  Prakash padikave pull arikudhu. Going back in time, I wan't Mani to picturize all the songs of Agni Nakshatram, with bright lights and not the dimmmy effects.
  
  Wish I was there to wipe that instant which developed the ego wars between Mani, BR and KB.

  I always thought about this "back in time" event.
  I think it would be better to call this topic "Rewind and Wish !!"
  
  Here are my "rewind" wishes ::
  
  1. Have IR's first 250 films recorded on today's digital recording format. Simply because IR did experiment a lot in them.
  2. Have "Vikram" and "Raja Parvai" - the Kamal movies remade in DTS
  3. A MGR movie with IR's music
  4. Another version of "Ninaithale Inikkum" with a better storyline. MSV's music should remain the same (by the way.. great music), but with today's recording technology.
  5. A new version of Muratu Kaalaai - the movie , directed by Shanker and music by IR.

  2 see how kannadasan and raja vibed during discussions.
  3 aboorva sahodarargal re-recording (man, raja outdid himself)
  4 can't miss out on andhi mazhai
  5 jam sessions that jayachandran and raja used to have through the night (somebody had mentioned this in another thread)

  someone had written that raja and jayachandran, who were very close friends, used to meet often and raja would pick up his guitar and say `jayan, ethavathu paadunga', and then onwards celestial music would fill the night (my words). imagine if you had the chance to be part of those sessions! god knows what heavenly music came out of those meetings, whether it made its way into film.

  1. Annakili Unai Theduthe - Anakili (Esp the begining Prelude of S.Janaki)
  2. Sethura Poove (16 Vayathinile)
  3. Idayam Poguthe (Puthiya Varpugal)
  4. Vettiveru Vasam (Muthal Mariyathai, esp the first interlude filled with emotions)
  5. Naan Thedum Sevanthi Poo (what a steady pace he has maintained in the song)

  After readng all these, I really get irked and irritated on IR. WHy the hell he's not trying the so called composition sessions, which would bring wonders. Let him chuck out KR and write his own arrangements. Please IR do this ........I wanna a movie with SPB, Jesudas, MV and Jeyachandran :-)(

  1. Watch P.Bhanumathi sing "Asaindhaadum thendrale".
  2. Would like to see how MSV(RM) came up with the tune "Naan pesa ninaippadhellam" and how the lyricist(Kannadhasan?) came up with that karpanai.
  3. Making of the VJ songs for Apoorva Ragangal. Another MSV, Kannadhasan combination.
  4. Would like to see IR composing "Ponnoviyam" for Kazhugu. Very modern for its times.
  5. Recording of title music for Mudhal Mariyadhai. Authentically folk and full of energy.

  Imagine how it would have been to be around when those great songs of `nizhalgaL' were being created...and those of `kAdhal ovium'....without doubt the most successful combination ever (IMHO) that happened in TFM -IR/BR together...
