My feeling is IR has composed some private works, maybe another symphony or concerto. If IR's orchestral music is too strong for even a Hindi film, then why use symphony style for a Tamil film? So, I am thinking Ramana recording is an excuse. Any info on "Stealth Symphony" etc... form any close associates of IR here in the forum?

Miserable.

IR is working on an extremely different kind of project as a close friend of his family told me.
He will be doing it with the RPO again.I think even KR is assisting him on this.
Mr.Hari, I think that IR's music standard is far beyond for Indian movies, he must be hailed for his untiring work.
Anyway best of luck to IR and KR!

Namrita, i guessed this happenin for some time now. that is whay IR is not really wasting energies on 'great' song recordings. IR lately in the last 2-3years is showing remarkable contempt for movie songs - i know why, but, why is the question.
No doubt, Thalaivar is working hard to please a lot of eager unsatisfied morons like me. Also, knew why KR is distancing himself from film music lately since December 16. Avarum engeyo pogiraar.
Means, I am eagerly waiting for paal payasam. Right now i am still enjoying oorkai and 4000 pappadum... can't seem to have enough of the appalams.
Thank God (IR)

if IR's music is far too good for indian movies, how come it's not been proved until now? i mean, he's had more than enough time to prove himself and he didn't. other than his fans, does anyone really care about what he does anymore?

Wow! IR take on Creativity is bang on target. I read somewhere that a real art silences the mind. In other words, a work which propel intectual mind is not an art.
>>does anyone really care about what he does anymore?
Shurti:
Why Should IR care whether anyone cares about his work anymore? A true artist never stops working.

I guess IR did prove his best for Indian movies, he is one of the living art forms of Music. Probably he is not satisfied with what he has give, surely some music fans like us do care (thanks yaaro, i borrow ur sentence again).

Hi guys..
Austria is the place where `The Sound of Music' was shot. The actual place, Salzburg is just 2-3 hours by road from Vienna.. So, no wonder why our maestro is there.. May be he had a long wish to see those alpine beauties.. Anyway, Vienna is a heaven on earth.. Austria is actually extremely beautiful, man...
I also think that his earlier albums like `Nothing but wind' have their title inspired from `Sound of Music'.. I cant say whether he would return to India with a new Avataram but certainly this period is one of the best to be in Vienna.. Let him enjoy there and entertain us with Ramana and other forthcoming releases..

Hats off to IR. IR dissected the "creativity" very well.He has got the clarity of any well known philosopher.

Padnabhaba, another cryptic messenger of IR! onnumey purayaley saar.
is IR still in Vienna? or, RPO moved to Vienna?
(regards my view on this topic: IR philosophosing has a lot of profound depth aazham in the thoughts. but, all I can say is, Film songs for me is more breathtaking than any symphony or classical music i've heard. If IR as a composer feels that symphony is more without barriers and film songs with limits, then I believe that point. but, as a listener I think IR's creativity in the limited scope art form of film songs (means, only useful for the scenes and enjoyed by limited audience types) is far beyond comprehension and abilities of even the finest composer' work before IR.
that is why Jeera saar to anser you q?

i feel film songs as seen in TFM is still for me one of the most enthralling musical forms and IR may now despise it but I still love that art form over many other genres.

For illayarja fans ..Also for ARR fans to wonder if ARR has got such a credit except from a few accolades from Webber ,that too for commercial purposes .....

but what's teh use if ILLYARAAJA goes to hungary or vieena ..we can never enjoy the music as the BGM will never be released and we have to be content with what we hear when we watch teh film !!!!
