  Another mediocre album with sloppy orchestration, bad singing and mundane lyrics. 'Vanaville' could have been better without those stupid electronic beats that are becoming the bane of IR's present-day music.
  
  Sadhana Sargam (I refuse to believe any other reason than ego or plain vitimisation for not using Chitra or Sujatha), Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy and IR himself contribute to the abaswarams that run through the album. IR has let down Oscar Films yet again (after En Mana Vaanil), will the next one "Manasellam" be any better?
  
  For a movie that looks like a mix of the "Naan Sivappu Manithan" and "Dharmathin Thalaivan" types, re-recording in Austria seems like a paid holiday. IR still continues to have such generous producers..

  I see mixed reviews, as usual. Some say songs are very good. Others say they suck. I was just thinking about 'Devan', which was a flop (the soundtrack). That album got mixed reviews: I've seen some people say the songs are very good, although most, like me, say they were a disappointment. On the same token, 'Bhaarathi', one of IR's better filmscores in recent times IMHO, many felt the songs were terrific, while others felt they stunk.

  Well purv, I would'nt mind those who critisized Bharathi songs. Surely I see a mixed response, but the film unit was telling that the songs are great (marketing !!!).
  
  But after reading the opinions of Kiru and NagaS i'm quite disappointed. Are the songs really bad? I'm not getting a chance these days to hear songs from the net.
