Any Hindustani classical songs in TFM?

Are there any songs based on Hindustani classical in TFM. Of course, Carnatic has been very widely used, but what about Hindustani.

  There are so many songs. But most of those songs are Quali (what is the spelling?) type of songs like "Paaradi Kanne Konjcham" and "unnaithaan Naan arivean".

  when we say hindustani, suddenly we remember those types of songs first. that is what did happen to me.
  
  "Ullathil Nalla Ullam" from Karnan is based on Hindustani Ragam "Desh".

  I think most of the songs in 'saadhanai' were based on hindustani classical
  'athi mara poovidhu'(this is more of qawwali type)
  'oh vaanampaadi' and
  'enge naan kanden en naayagi'

  Songs in "Varumai niram sivappu - Ranga Rangaiya enge ponaalum ragasiyam manasukku suvaithan" was a very popular hindustani song.
  Of late "Varaga nathikarai oram" has a qawali touch to it.
  "Naan sirithaal deepavali" - nayakan
  "Vaa vanilaa " - Mella thiranthathu kathavu
  "Ponmele nanaintha pookal mella sirikka" (Nathiya song) - is probably the best tamil hindustani song tuned by Laxmikanth Pyarelal for a Mohan movie.
  Many more songs were based on hindustani touch.

  G.Raghavan, I think "ullathil uyarntha ullam" is sindhu bhairvai..or is it really desh? This song resembles "unnakenna melae ninraaye" in Simla special which is Sindhu Bhairavi which was again tuned by MSV, or is it that both the ragaas sound very similar, b'cos they are north-indian based?

  The song is based on GowriManohari, which is a south indian raag, but the song has hindustani taste in it.

  Yes the song "Thesulavuthe then malarale" is composed by Adinarayanrao. He used the same tune for the Hindi version sung by Lata and Rafi.
  
  Its a great song. Also, a telugu version exists - sung by Ghanatasala and Jikki.

  Another movie "kaviya thalaivi" is hindusthani classical based movie. In that movie a very good song " oru naal iravu, pagal pol nilavu " and a beautiful rendition by PS ( all songs by PS).
  Daughter starts that song in search of her mother.
  " ennuir thaye neeyum sughama ? iruppathu enge sol enren
  Annayin mugamo, kaanbathum nijamo, kanavo nanavo sol entren" . After this line mother starts as "kanna…..sugama , Krishna sughama …kanmani sugama …sol entren ". Within a second she changes her voice the second part is …why to say. listen and feel.
  It is available in " MusicIndiaOnline->Tamil->kaaviyath thalaivi" category.
  
  In "pavai vilakku" , " kaaviyama nenjil oviyama, Athan jeeviyama, theiveega kaathal chinnama" is also a Hindusthani based song ?!

  however kalai - the song "oru naal iravu" seems more Carnatci based than Hindustani - based.

  Ghazals are a form of lighter HCM - yes "mEghamE mEghamE" and "yArathu sollamal.." can be considered HCM. Even "elluil engo" from Rosappoo Ravikaikkari tuned by IR and sung by VJ - can be considered HCM. Or have I missed sth. ?

  I think MSV opted for Hindustanic classic in Kaaviya thalaivi as it was a remake of Mamta which had wonderful solos of Lata by Madanmohan.
  
  Even 'nalam ketka vandhaiyo'(from the same film) is based on hindustani i guess

  There is no replacement for the Hindustani Classical rendering of Sirkali Govindarajan in the film Jagadhalapradhaban, - "Siva sankari sivanandalahari". Another song "Dharmaseela Kalaivanarukkullae" is also on a special Hindusthani raga rendered by Sirkali Govindarajan.
  It is nice to cherish those fond musical memories amongst the current nosiy musical tfm scene.

  There are many Hindustani based songs in TFM , by KVM, MSV and IR.
  
  Some of the Hindustani ragas in TFM are Pahadi, Desh, Pilu, Suddha sarang, Bagesri, Jonpuri , Darbari, Aahir Bhairav, Hamir Kalyan, Patdeep and the list is more....

  Ramamurthy's "vasandhakaalam varumoa" by P.S. from MaRakka Mudiyumaa is probably Hindusthani. Other probables:
  -thoorathil naan kanda un mugam--IR/SJ from NizhalgaL
  -maRakka udiyavillai (just the melodious start)from Jaadhimalli by Maragathamani
  -a Hindi song by IR/SJ from NaNDU

  Yes, in Karnan the MSV-VR duo have excelled in Hindustani-raga based songs. They have also given a wonderful qawali type song - Ammamma Chinnap Ponnu Thalaiyenna Aduthu - in karuppu Panam along with the song mentioned in 'Vazhkai Padagu'.. In fact the usage of Shehnai by KVM (for example in Paavai Vilakku) and MSV-VR duo in various films have been excellent.
