I have always believed that hardly 5% of Bollywood Mission/Vision/Commission statements would pass thru lie-detectors.When Roshans announced Koi Milgaya as the first ever Indian Sci-fic film,my Antharathma cried "Andava!Bhojpuri,Oriya even Kannadathulu vanthirunthalum paravyillyepa.Eppadai Hindila varapaNNi Izhivai thedi koduthutheere ..PerumaLe"

Now "Dakshinamoorthy and G. Ramanathan contributing the original music "brings the topic to this forum.

If Kodambakkam wishes to do such a film today what would be our expectations,possible story lines,star cast and ofcourse AR Rehman's score( ABBADA 2-Topic survival dose).

With already talks about Shankar's Robot( with Vikram )in the thin air and in sify's vayatherichal columns lets talk Science.

  The article forgot to mention the Aditya 369 (telugu) - Apoorva Sakthi 369 (Tamil) which was totally Indian made, with base story inspired from H.G.Wells' Time Machine and parts from Back to the Future Series. The movie also features some great score from IR. Bollywood has not only proved that it is dumb but also blind, from these kind of statements. Also, Chiranjeevi's next movie, Anji, is the next in the sci-fi line and it started even before Hritik Roshan's Kaho naa pyar hain had released.

  How can u decide ARR's music?:-) Agreed that ARR's music is very much alien to us but that doesnt make him eligible to score for a Sci-Fi movie. lets give IR a chance..:-)

  what about "asuran" (remake of Predator)? or atleast Naalaya Manidhan (remake of Chuck Norris "Silent Rage")? Thakkali Seenivasan had a flare for remaking english movies into Tamil.

  Sorry, I have not heard/ heard of any song from Kaadu.
  
  However another Sci-Fic movie in Tamil was Sarodey Brothers' Kalaiarasi-1963. Stg: MGR, Bhanumathi, Nambiyar and Rajasri. It had a space craft landing on earth, space travel and other happenings interwoven into a usual tale of palace intrigue, romance etc!

  Considering the technology he relies heavily on and his futuristic outlook towards sound Rehman can be the only choice.HJ can score for the songs as he has used futuristic humming like

  I watched Close Encounters very recently in a channel.You have to give to Spielberg and the MD for the last 15-20 minutes.
