All of us have songs which are our personal favorites for some reason or the other. It's a hard task to narrow the choices down to a few. If you were asked to list the songs that will haunt you forever, what will they be? Please list THREE of your top all-time favorites.

You favorite list does not have to be restricted to any particular era. The question is, if you had a choice to listen to only three songs, which would be your choices? Please don't feel restricted to the MSV/TKR era just because all my favorites happen to be from there. Let's have fun trying to choose!!

I found it very difficult to restrict my choice only to three songs:

Here they are:
1) chinna chinna vanna kuyil - Mouna Raagam
2)vaa vaa anbe anbe kadhal nenje nenje - Agni natchathiram
3)ennulle ennulle pala minnal ezhum nEram - Valli

I would be happy if I can hear songs 1) and 2) somehow. I don't have songs in my casette/CD collection. Really longing to hear both.

PG: I know it's tough to do only three--that's the challenge and the fun of it. I had to push away several oldies, some good SPB/SJ songs by IR songs, and, yes, one ARR song. Who is the MD for Kadal Meengal?

Three songs?! Sorry Not possible!!
Every phase in your life is influenced by a song and that could be the best or sometimes the worst song!! If not worst, at the least, it could be unheard of bordering the saying "...unheard are the sweetest!" So, naming three songs, is, only superficial and acute!!
IR when asked to name the best/most loved songs, refused and has ever been refusing to comment! His diction is all the same! But he said "Mayakkamaa, kalakkama" meant a lot to him in his life!!

selecting 3 best songs for my favorite MDS, though still it is very tough to narrow down.
I can't select 3 songs alone.

(This light duet is simply great to me; the

I did hear about that incident in one of IR interview long time back. Without any dobut, it is my favorite SJ number. Infact when I saw this film, I did not see the song at all, just to avoid being spoiled by the poor picturisation.

I am surprised that nobody has listed this song. indha paadal starting'ai oru murai ninaithu paarungal. jaalraa alladhu koyil mani maadhiri oru satham appidiye reverberate aagum. attagaasamaga irukkum.

another thing that stands out in this song is the way the pitch goes high at the end of the stanza and starts of low with the saranam (is that what you call it)? like in
vennilavai thottu... muthamida aasai....
ennaiyindha booomiiiii... thottilida aasai....
and then it starts slowly
chinna chinna aasai ....

rahman bhai... pichuteenga, ponga.

3) Maalaiyil yaaro - Chathriyan

My all time favorites:

1. "Ragam tharatha veenai" from
Unnai Valthi Padukiren, music by IR,
Sung by KJ and SJ.

2. "Thuli mani Thuliyile" from Rasamagan, music by IR, Sung by Uma ramanan.

3. "Chokkanukku vacha sundariyo" from kaval geetham, music by IR, sung by SPB and SJ.

If i am not listening the above 3 songs for atleast once in a week, my heart beat will be strucked. (This is not a joke!)

aahaa!! 'maalai chandhiran' was a tremendous song. The way SPB breezes thro' the charanam is wonderful.

In fact, all songs in that movie were great. To commomerate his re-union with Kovaithambi, IR did a very enthu job. Apart from these two songs, 'OhohO kaalaik kuyilgaLE' and 'ippOthum nippEn' were also good. Prabhu Deva's dance and the flute pieces were great in the latter. Unfortunately, both went unnoticed because of the tragic failure of the movie.

This is Shyam kumar interested in Tamil songs since my childhood days. My father used to sing good songs during night times just like that. Because of that or of my basic taste I like songs. I had around 50 cassettes with me 5 years before. Lots of my friends come and take to listen, slowly one by one missed.
I am collecting those again. Things might go or come but the urge remains the same.

If you ask blindly 3 songs.... No it is difficult and I feel as I am doing mistake for my taste, I will feel for that later.

I have recently recorded 5 cassettes all are my favourites aournd 100 songs.

I will list a few now and later add all other stuff. I feel most guys like it. If you like to add the list with some thing you know. I feel as I would have considered those and deleted because of some reason or I didn't thought of that and may add it if you help me.
