  S V Shekar's parody of BR's Kaadhal Paadalgal in
  one of his plays is an apt illustration of the
  quality of picturisation. BR's movies are, no doubt, very good but his picturisation of Kaadhal paadalgal is a joke. An exception could be the famous Satyaraj movie - Kadalora Kavithaigal.

  i totally agree with you. this is one of ir's best songs. enchanting lines by ganagai amaran (of all people!).

  I personally (I state again personally) feel that I don't see the soul in the songs of BR's movies off late (to be precise after Nadoni Thendral). Till date I have gone and purchased the CD/cassette of all BR's albums the day it is released irrespective of the MD (including Kadal Pookal). But all that is left for me is disappointment, in a huge way. I feel the songs of Kaadhal Oviyam are BR's personal best among all his movies. I can bet no other MD could give a score like that.
