Friends
I recently saw the movie 'Bharathy' what a wonderful effort ,very good artist selection and the movie was also well picturised.
As usual IR has really breathed life into this movie through his BGM score.
I like the BGM part when Bharathy stays in Kashi and see some our bad rituals and fumes and whole BGM for entire Kashi duration was so inspiring and bring that spiritual mood at Kashi.
And another one is when his Wife was happy thinking that he has brought many gifts for her and family

The opening BGM on the violins and strings for Nirpathuve Nadapathuve, was pleasing. It was as melodious like the similar BGM in Kaviri Penne Vazhga song scored by music director Sudharsanam for the movie Poompukar. The song melody was also pleasant like Athikkai Kaai Kaai by Viswanathan-Ramamurthy with a similar second melody sounding great. Raghavendars singing was melodious like fusing Unnikrishnan and Yesudas. It is nice to see Bharathiar singing relaxed. Really a great job!

The place when Bharathi slaps his wife for asking 'Vethu jaathikaaraalum iruppaa pOlirukkae?' and the continuing piece... just marvellous

i loved the stylistic piece that appears towards the end of the film, when bharathi and his wife land at bishop ravi's residence and he tells her that she can cook her own food if she wants to. i wish raja elaborates on such pieces and comes out with a new wave album.
another excellent piece is the one we hear after bharathi blesses gandhi's movement and walks out majestically. brilliant stuff.

sats,
Wonderful observation, I liked that piece of BGM Very much.,
For me, that one sounds like the tune of 'Aaalankatti mazai' song from Thenali., Not sure., Is there any similarity ?

NagaS
it sounded to me something like
"senthamil nadenum podhinile
inba then vandhu payudhu kadinile "
alankatti mazai rhymes the same in my opinion

I quite liked the BGM when he recites Shelley's poems and the one where he meets Dr. Annie Besant and looks at the leaf during the meeting. Both were very different and high quality stuff

Hello Ms Radhai
It was Sister Nivedita whom Bharathy meets in the movie and not Dr.Annie Besant.
After meeting her he develops new respect and appreciation for Womanfolk.
