Comedy Songs Andrum Indrum

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

The idea here is NOT to talk about IR and ARR.
Old refers to time before 70s ans New is obviously
after 70s.
In old movies, Seerkazi, Al Ragavan and even TMS
used to sing for comedians. In the new movies,
comedy actors themselves started singing, especially Kamalhussain.

Let us discuss all the commoanalities and differences of comedy songs lyrics, quality, funny stuff, singers voice, musical siripu, and fitting to situation.

If Ravi don't object, it can be half-baked djkl stuff - but with a bit of seriousness.

  ok, bringing this thread back to its seriousness:))
  i feel that in comedy songs, NSK is unmatched till now. his kindhanaar sariththiram, sirippu, thEdhi oNNile songs are fantastic and none of the new comedians can come upto that level. TAM was also an accomplished singer and used to sing on stage. the comic element which was present in the songs of those days are missing today. an example will be comparing the songs of similar situations, say aduththa veettup peN and uLLaththai aLLith thaa.

  The song is based on a classical raga, which I don't know the name.
  
  Ennada kaathal ithu Evan sonna paadam ithu kan thiranthu paarka oru kanni....(Chinna Poovey Mella pesu). SAR's first venture. The whole comedy group including, Chinni, Charli, Ramki (Ada Namma Ramki) is there for the song. It was funny too.
