These are some people in TFM, who have an alternate profession like playback singing or composing ad film jingles, or music arrangement or sound engineering. But all of these people have proved to the people and the Tamil Film Industry that they are good music composers too. We have enjoyed their music too, but will TFM give them another chance?
They are:
1) Parasuram Radha-5 Star
2) Sreenivas-Ussele Ussele, Aye nee romba azhaga irukka
3) Ramesh Vinayagam-Aye nee romba azhaga irukka, Nala Damayanthi (coming in May end and film for June)
4) Praveen Mani-Little John
5) Raghav, Raja-Aye nee romba azhaga irukka
6) Aravind, Shankar-Aye nee romba azhaga irukka
7) Murugavel-Aye nee romba azhaga irukka

They should get more better chances to prove their mettle. Am I right?

agosh - This is actually a 3-member group. The members are Anand(a), gopal rao(go), shaleen(sh).
Anand composed the music for shakthi, alone. I think he was doing ad jingles previously, either alone or as part of the trio, I am not sure.
As Agosh, they composed music for harishchandra, zor(hindi), kodiswaran(unreleased movie).
They also did an hindi album late last year. One song from this album, "paisa", was also frequently shown on the music channels. This particular song "paisa" is similar in many parts to their song "thaam tharikida" in Kodiswaran.
Gopal is also a singer. He sang the "dilruba" song for vidyasagar in Priyam. He has also sung in the therukoothu song(naatukkoru seithi) in Anbe Sivam, again for vidyasagar. I think he also sang the Bombay Madras Delhi song from Ratchakan for A.R.Rahman. Recently, if I am correct, I saw him in vijay tv as the judge for aboorva ragangal.
I personally felt that Zor(in particular) and Kodiswaran were good.
If I have missed anything, please add.
