ARR is a great musician considering the extent to which he has revolutionised TFM.......but does he copy a lot??
But I personally know just a few songs which are lifted and it is of course every MD's right in TFM to copy........NOM to deva :-)
They are.....
1.Telephone Manipol, the beats part from All That She Wants
2.En Veettu thotathil........sum carnatic song??
3.Velli Malare in JODI.......from some song in Karnan??
4.Muqabla......those cool beats in the end not lifted but inspired from some english song
5.Sundari from KM.......i dunno abt this one....coz i heard extremely similar beats in The Drew Carry Show.....may be co-incidence
6.Manasukkul oru puyal from STAR.......these beats exactly same as i saw in a movie played on Star Movies.......i mean towards the end when the cast and crew are displayed.
7.Shakalakka Baby......i feel these beats are kinda similar to those in NFS 3......not sure though
8.KM from KM.......again in one particular place the music is similar to ( not much ) wat i heard in NFS 3
can any body add onto this list.........???
Please donot pull other MD's into this discussion and star sum sort of ARR vs IR war........i know tis too hard to resist but please do :-)

Like Kiru says ARR has more 'productive' things to do than spend his valuable time here.
As an aside, all the 'vsnl' id's I have known are vsnl.net and not vsnl.com.

Why ..? IR too. See the recent inclusion. IR has lifted some russian song for the nallavanukku nallavan "Chittukku chella chittukku"
IR's vandavalm is yering tandavalam only now. Why do you want to shoot on your own foot NCR?

Are Yaar (@ 203.115.31.67),
Don't be a dumbass. Listen to both and then you decide it with your heart. Just because its posted up there, doesn't mean all of them agree. I don't even find anything close to similarity. Pity some have pitiful ears(or are they just poking for the sake of it?....).
One more thing.
You see, you have to know the difference between limited talent and unlimited talent. Normally, the 'limited talent' has no choice but seek out for 'inspiration' EVERY SINGLE TIME...ALL THE TIME. THIS YOU CAN DECIDE AND TELL BY THEIR MUSIC. Whereas, for the 'unlimited talent', he wants to have fun once in a blue moon or pay homage to some old time composer or something and therefore use/quote their music into their own composition. They do it with the intention to make it obvious so that ppl realize this. If not, what's the point. Many have done this from Golden Age composers like Bernard Hermann to Silver Age composers like Goldsmith eg. Dies Irae, etc. And even Goldsmith has quoted Hermann's Gulliver's Travel music(the famous bee music) into his opening lines in The Swarm.
You see, many great composers do it. Take note: COMPOSERS and not music directors or arrangers. They do it for fun & also at the same time want to pay homage to some predecessor that they look up to.
Pls learn to appreciate music with your ears and your heart like you did before 1993. And not simply eat up what others TELL you.

New Yorker:
I agree, but also point out one single composition of ARR which have been fully lifted. His way of composing is taking loops and patterns from sources.
Till now, there has been no instance where ARR is accused of lifting one complete song. Many other MD have atleast one in number. Remember..."kanavu kaanum vazhkai yaavum" song.
NOM actually of anybody . That NCR whated to intimidate and I am for it..come on.
- From: Cheenu (@ 203.199.205.25)
on: Thu Jul 4 06:59:14 EDT 2002
Yes, Yes ARR can't be accused of lifting one full song. Even IR has lifted on full song.
Just the difference is that 90% ARR's songs have 90% only copied. Not 100%.
If
enna vilai azhge.....resembles "Thanga Pathakkathin Mele ....."
or if "Jumballakka " resembles "Ananha adhu ennada " from "Iru Nilavugal..."
or if "Roja ... roja..... " resemles "Sippiyirukkdhu muthum irukkudhu"...
then its not ARR copies. These people should not have composed such tunes at first.
or if

People have explained these allegations 100^100 times in this forum. I agree that there is also a valid reason for my allegation too. Sonnadhaiye thiruppi thiruppi sonna adhu unmai aayidadhu...You should understand one thing you are not only making yourself look silly but you also make others think that you whole fan community thinks this silly...Come with some thing new...till then please don't put u r nasty fingures on the keyboard to type all craps into all ARR threads which are completely unrelated and irrelevant to U.
I know you will be fuming...trying to call me names..you beloved friends to might come for your rescue...but don't worry man my blessings are always with you...May God Cure you fast.

Respeacted Are Yaar,
Please cool yourself. There is no reason to boil.
Come with some thing new...
Since ARR is not coming with anything new, I'm also not able come up with something new. Hence I keep on telling the same allegations.Kindly excuse me for the same.
please don't put u r nasty fingures on the keyboard to type all craps into all ARR threads
This thread is titled "Does ARR copy?" . Hence what I have posted is quite relevant. If what i have listed is not technically correct, argue on that line. Instead, you are simply shouting and spoiling your health.
His way of composing is taking loops and patterns from sources.
Will you give Deva also the same luxary which ARR is enjoying with the die-hard fanatics like you?
