Looks like the IR squad is more anxious and awaiting ARR's releases, than his fans. :)
What a waiting, what a waiting.

nuthin to do with ARR FYI...
"Already Shankar and his cameraman Ravi.K.Chandran (see pic) have consumed 1,80,000 feet of raw film, rewritten the script three times and even changed the artists a few times"
story not clear and u need songs?!
"And adding to the confusion the tunes that Shankar agrees are pinched by Jyothi for his film."
how is ARR to be blamed?!

C~P,
I guess you missed the most important quote,
"Added to that A.R.Rahman is yet to deliver two of the six songs in the film."
You also have not mentioned anything abt the whole link on thatstamil.com.
Just for your info if had missed.

Whether the movie gets released or not, I am content with listening to the melodious title song from Udhaya, 'udhaya Udhaya'.
It may easily join the ranks of his extremely melodious "MalargaLe malargaLe" (but the movie 'Love Birds' didn't deserve it). Though IMO, Sadhana is just about okay in the Udhaya song. Chitra would have done wonders to the number just like she did with the former. Chitra, where art thou?

I second your opinion. I really miss her singing some challenging numbers like the Udhaya song. Enna solli paduvatho would have a lot better with chithra singing it. Hmm...I hope there is lot more coming up from KSC in the future.

traknu,
i din forget that....
i said . . "story not clear and u need songs?!"
neways i still ahve to go thro the thing abt elelo......yaezhuthu kooti padikka somberi thanam! :)
siva,
pls not that both are being produced by A.M.Ratnam......AMR wud have insisted that the song be given to Jyothi coz Jyothi is his son......dats wat the article sez.....end with "blood is thicker than water"

C~P,
i understand both films are by a.m.ratnam ...
but the matter of simple ethics should be practise... arr could have just said "no" and sticked to his principles....
i remember reading some years back that when shankar heard the song "veerapandi kotayile" at rahman's studio, he wanted it..... but rahman told him, that song was already booked by maniratnam...
why not practise the same principle here?

Kaumudi,
I heard that Chitra was recently blessed with a baby (after many many years of 'tavam'). With this new addition to her life, let's hope she's soon back with a bang in TFM. The Shreyas and Chinmayees can now call her "Chitramma" like Chitra affectionately calls Janakiyamma & Susheelamma :)
She also seems to be concentrating on devotional albums for her hubby's recording label of late. Hope she does balance this act with singing for films as well (and not follow the path of Anuradha Poudwal, who, from one of the busiest singers in HFM has now completely disappeared from this genre and is doing only some devotional albums for her 'AsthAna' T-Series label)
I am now listening to a rare Chitra gem, "MathAppoovu oru peNNAgAthA", from the movie "Michael Madana KAmarajan". Her melliflous rendition in this IR number is remarkable. Comeback Chitra! More than ever, TFM needs you now!

siva,
ethics? .... mm .... the last time ARR sed know cud have been coz the song was booked my MANIRATNAM (remember thiruda thiruda was actually wat ARR was first booked for) .... shankar at that time was doing his first film and tis very easy for ARR to say no
also.....a producer has to approve the songs b4 they are actually in the film rite....things are in Ratnam's hands....his decision on where to have the songs.....Shankar can just persuade him to have em in his movie(ofcourse shankar wud have done much more coz of the name he has earned with his last 5 films)

hey man..al those r rumours...arr is the only md who is able to stick with his principal and plzz...sify.com alwiz gives news on rahman wrongnly...coz i think they hate arr...the only good news they gave it the review on Udhaya audio...COZ IT WAS UNDINIABLE GREAT!!!

If its from one source than there is a chance that the stupid tabloid could be rumour. But more than once source, thats something to think about. Only time will tell.
