  he is from madurai and did M.A sociology

  I think he has scored for more than 2 movies., As listed earlier, Thalaivaasal, Amaraavathu, Golmall are the three most popular ones, whereas he has scored music for N.K. Viswanathan's movies., I don't remember the titles (Ellaam saami padamnnu ninaikkaReen :-).,

  Amaravathy had some very good music. The song 'tajmahal thevayillai anname anname' was based on a really good raagam 'simmendra madhyamam'. In a TV interview I heard BB saying that he was very much inspired by the Ilayaraja number from Panneer Pushpangal 'aananda raagam' based on the same raagam.
  
  BB sounded pretty knowledgeable with his music. Wonder why he fizzled out!

  Talent is something, and survival tactics is something else. May be he didnt go around and ask for a chance. And any MD has to make the so called youthful fast music to get noticed, during thier initial days.
  
  I would expect Ajeet, who got introduced and got noticed by the Tajmahal song, should now give BB a well deserved chance (Even pavithra songs by ARR didnt give him such a boost). What you guys say?.

  thats really great....
  
  BB is pretty much talented...and its bad time that he gets only very very fewer chances...
  
  the heartening part is that v v v v v mediocre and less talented MDs like deva, sa raj kumar...who cant even be called as MDs get a lot of chances....
  
  
  one shud not forget his tele serial "Chitra Paavai"...i think the 1st tele serial with songs...and then..."Neela Mala"..."Chellama"...
  "Thiruvalluvar"..."My dear genie"...

  I think Bala Bharathy's work may be suffering from 'lack of product differentiation'. Both Deva and SAR however bad have some style. (Deva - loud percussion, SAR some melody) BB follows IR to a tee and he is good at that. He needs to come up with his own grammar or follow different style to create an image for himself and be commercially successful.

  Bala Barathy is not his real name, i know it for sure. but i forgot his actual name (something like ashok..or some emperor name kind of thing... im not sure). i dont think he is related to Rajkumar Bharathy.

  Mahendran (Director, Saasanam) mentioned in one of his interviews that BalaBharathy is doing music for Saasanam and songs have come-up really well., But for Re-Recording, He couldn't do much and he has asked IR to do the BGM Work alone., Donno what happened after that., BTW, IR was the MD for the movie initially, due to some problems with NFDC, IR came out of the project.,
