Nandha VS Aalavanthan

These 2 film are the big releases for Deepawali. As far as music is concerned, Nandha wins but movie wise, I am not so sure. What do you thing?

  I think Aalavanthaan music is terrible and Nandha will definately win music wise. However, movie wise I feel that though both movies will be equally good, Aalavanthaan will be more of a hit due to the publicity of the movie, the big budget and Kamalhassan.

  I personally like the Aalavanthaan music.its something new, but i have to agree in saying the nandha wins music wise. Once again i agree that Aalavanthaan will be the bigger movie due to the presence of Kamalhassan.

  The cassette is yet to be released. But it has created some hype that Yuvan Shankar Raja has done a wonderful job. It is surely different from his previous work.

  If Nandha's bgm is given by Raaja Sir, then there
  is no point in comparing Nandha with aalavandhan.
  Shankar is no more than a tyro compared to the

  I saw Nandha posters in some of the Bangalore Music Stores, (They say 'Different Kind of Music from YSR" :-), When I enquired, they said cassette will be released in a couple of days, only the poster has come now,

  The last song I could remember of VJ-IR pair is the song 'En Pera Oorengilum kettu paar, En kaiyale poo malaya pottu paaru' from 'Magudam' (** SATYRAJ, BHANUPRIYA), a duet with MANO!

  Paarthale paravasam....ARR....cassette on 1st November
  Vijay's Shajahan,Vijaykanth's Thavasi,Ajit's Red,Prashanth's Virumbugirene,all these will copmpete with Alavandan...So what is so special about Nandha where Kilavigal like SJ and VJ along with mukkal kizhavan IR are singing...November 10th varaikkum Vaayai Tharakkadheengo...

  I think Nandhaa will be a better movie because after Sethu, everyone is loking forward to another quality film by Bala. Yuvan has struck gold with this movie. After Hay Ram was such flop, I am not very eager to see Aalavanthaan and the music has not attracted me either. As for the other releases for Diwali, I have not heard of any of these films and will not be going to see any. Therefore I can conclude that NANDHAA will be the hit movie for diwali

  Nandha is seeems to be good than Aalavanthan, but if you are taking most of Kamal movie songs were used to be popular after it screened in Theaters. It applicable to last film Thenali too. However I do accept, Nandha songs are better than Aalavanthan (for time being :-)

  Un alagakku nan poruppu was good in Aalavandan.
  Nandha is more serious movie and so are the songs.

  By considering the music and quality of the movie, NANDHAA is far better than Alavanthan. Padmashree Kamal tried his best level in Technical aspects of the movie, but he fails miserably in screenplay, the trio's music is nothing but worst. Thus, the impact of the movie is very less. But whereas, NANDHAA, really crisp screenplay, Soorya's perfromance and Yuvan's music lifts the movie to far better level than Alavanthaan.

  People without seeing film commenting here Manadhai thirudi vittai is the only film declared as very good film with proper screenplay among Deepavali releases....Nandha has crazy story and awful screenplay so is PP...Sethu was a hit because it had LOVE as back ground
  In Nandha small boy kills his father goes to remand home come back as Soorya moter rejects him roams around with Laila and Mafia DON raajkiran and finally ends up with tragedy...Padam 10 naal kooda odadhu...Alavandan is far better than Nandha

  Alavanthan - Vanathavan Sendranadi.
  
  Manathai Thirudi Vittai - Yuvan, Naarayanamorrthy,Prabhu Deva, Kayahtri , nam manathai thrirudi vittanar.
  
  PP - Padam alla ithu, nalla drama by KB. Scrap music by ARR.
  
  Aadaan Adimai - Mani & Satyaraj combo clicked again. Good story. Powerful dialogues. Melodious tunes by IR. But, padam oodumaa?
  
  Thavasi - another Cinna Kounder as per vijay kanth. Ayya vijay kanthu, neenga onny theerpu solreenga, illai theeveravathikalai adikkareenga. Yaethaavathu konjam viththiyasama pannunga sir.
  
  Shajahan - without mumtaj, as well without crowd to see it.
  
  Nandhaa - Superb movie. Yet another hit by Bala. Story is very simple. The way he handles the story and the way he potrays the Ilamngai agathi problems, are extra-ordinary. Definitely a winner in all respects.

  I am sure ChennaiWeb reviewer was out of mood when seeing the movie - Even Madhan in Kumudam is not at all talking about the songs - He just says BGM is crazy !
  
  I am wondering how people can ignore Nandha songs in reviews and praise Deva for 'mala mala marutha malai' or whatever song it is,
  
  I hope atleast Vikatan recognises YSR's Songs & BGM in Nandha !
