IR at his peak in 1984.

I am organizing IR's album year wise.
On the Duets Category here are the songs I have for 1984.
An unbelivable 38 excellent Duets songs.
No body has ever given songs of this calibre in a single year in IFM leave alone TFM.
Please let me know if I have missed any of the good songs.

  Uchi malai megangal - Vellaya Thevan
  Kotti kidakkuthu - Theertha Karayinile

  1976 - "Chella pillai Saravanan" song film???
  1977 - "Andhapurathil oru maharani" from Deepam
  "Then malli poove" from Thyagam
  "poon thenrale " and "Raja enbaar mandhiri enbaar" - Buvana Oru Kelvikuri
  "megame thoodhaaga vaa" from Kannan oru kaikuzhandhai

  Thanks for filling the gaps.The songs you have mentioned are good songs.I will include certain songs in my list.There is also a 'Samayal Padame' from manipoor maamiyaar.One more thing is I avoided some of IR songs due to some singers in the late part of their carrier spoiled the songs.

  Once we fill in the gaps can we select the top 15 duets of IR?I know that everybody's taste will be diffrent and we can have our own top15.Still we can share it here in the forum so that we know that there are certain unique songs which are comon.If this sounds an interesting idea I will send my list friends.

  ganspb, here are few duets which also deserve their due attention from 1984
  1. solai poovil malai thenral(SPB/SJ) - film Vellai roja. The opening prelude of this song just sends a shrill sweet shock down my spine.
  2. Oh maane maane maane(SPB/SJ) - Vellai roja
  3. Idhazhil amudham (KJY,VJ) - film Anbae Odi vaa
  4. Kaadhil kaettadho oru paatu(KJY, UR) - film Anbae Odi vaa. [This film also has few rare, fantastic SPB solos like azhagana pookal and jodi nadhigal]

  I have never heard 'Idhazhil Amudham' and 'Kaadhil kaettadho' before and that is why I am missing it from my list.

  I was a bit careful here not to offend anyone.
  But still u asked me here are the songs.

  Now it is your guess on who I am refering too.

  It was difficult for me to select these songs.Some of it also involves some of the memories I have with those songs.Like my wife and I sang O Butterfly in our wedding reception.
  I agree with you that it is difficult to rate but for me it does not mean other songs are far from these.May be they missed by a whisker in my Judgement.
