Will the trio re-unite?
Ilayaraja - Bharathi Raja - Vairamuthu
Once, this was the winning combination. From their thought streams rose some unforgettable films.
A few months ago, when Bharatiraaja's mother had passed away, the three giants had an opportunity to meet with each other again. Photographs of the three standing together appeared in magazines and newspapers.
Everybody was happy about it. They expected a reunion.
Friends began enquiring.
But, the three had one answer- can't fix a broken mirror.
While making 'Ramanaa', producer 'Oscar' Ravichandran tried to work out a compromise between them because his films always had either Ilayaraaja or Vairamuthu. His attempts failed. It began as a clash of egos and grew into difference of opinion. The intensity is still there. So is the anger. This is a big setback for Tamil cine industry.

even if god composes music for a film starring manoj u wudnt see the film doing a 100 days in theatres.....all u can hope for is cassette sales(audio ofcourse!) and ARR had given wat ppl wanted

even if they unite, IMHO, they won't be a winning combo as they were earlier. its like udaindha kaNNaadi, kaadharundha OOsi, yaanai vaaikkarumbu (words inspired from u know where).
IMHO at this time, a IR-Pulamaipiththan combo would do a lot than much touted IR-VM combo.
The only reunion that has a chance of good success is IR-MR-(vaali and/or pulamaipiththan).
A MSV/IR-KB combo would also be good, provided KB does good pictures not that "ivan pondaatti avaL purushan and avaL purushan innoruththan pondaati" kind of stories.

even without BR and VM, IR is going as strong as ever with his fantastic works like julie ganapathy,ramana[rerec], azhagi,kasi,kutti,etc.we don't miss much.but the losers are BR and VM.THAT'S IT.
