  Hindu mythology says that the word 'Ayyo' should not be pronounced even in a casual conversation.
  
  The reason which Kripananda Variyar swamigal says is as follows:
  
  AYYO is the wife of YamaDharman. This Yamadharmraja takes care of terminating life.
  
  Imagine what happens when one calls Yamans wife aloud and disturbs Yama. Yama gets them into his notice and takes care. Hence even in terminal stages, Ayyo should not be uttered.
  
  The usage of AYYO in tamil films from Ayyo Ayyayayo by Suresh peters in Devas music to Ayyo sung by udit Narayan in Kartik Raja will definitely see its sequale.
