  Great interview and great singer.
  I was also impressed with her tamil.
  She was so fluent azhaga tamila pesinanga
  athuvum english kalapu auvalava illa ma.
  Even most of the tamil actress actors cant do that now.

  how can they UV, those "most of the tamil actress actors", when almost all are *not* having thamizh as their mother tongue and a few are having the cliche of "tamil pays-na nee villager" in them and the remaining few are all set in selling thamizh terming themselves as "wood thamizhians", "steel thamizhians" but don't even take care of spelling the words properly etc

  It's a mature interview. Very good of Chitra to avoid any kind of controversy...must be a reflection of her personality (humble & I-shouldn't-hurt-anyone-kind)
  
  I was happy to hear her listing both EdhEdhO & dEvanin kOvil...which I recorded together in a cassette long back(full of KSC songs) & used to hear on headphone for days together before sleep...

  Eden, without opinions you can be a good businessman (that too maybe). But an artiste always is opinionated. IR is no exception. Art has to be unique it cannot be a 'design by committee'. Again all IMHO.
  
  I heard the interview too. She expressed her opinion but was very reconciling of the 'status quo'. She had opinions on vocals should be prominent in the mix, all songs in a movie for an actor/actress be given to the same singer etc. But for both of these cases she was very 'flexible'.

  kiru, I fully agree with you on the entitlements of artistes. But one can always wish others (esp. fav artistes) to be goodie-goodies to all:-))
