The first commercial film song recorded by A R Rahman, Ilayaraja and Harris Jayaraj-A Coincidence.

All are the above are successful Music Directors, with respect to the fans they have earned. Do you guys and gals know; that by coincidence all of them have recorded a Female solo as their first commercial song for a feature film.

"Music Maestro" Ilayaraja, recorded Machchana paarthingala... for Annakili, which was a female solo song by P Susheela (or S Janaki).

"Isai Puyal" A R Rahman, recorded Chinna China Aasai... for Roja, which was a female solo song by Minmini.

Harris Jayaraj, recorded Vaseegara... for Minnale, which was a female solo song by Bombay Jayashree.


At least there is some similarity among the three.

  Harris is a Good performer in the first one. .. But time has to say if he has much talent to gi ve hits,, but I feel that, to get upto ARR's level there is a decade left.. But I agree his songs are nice, unlike the CopyCAT Deva.. Deva gives you the cheap music from the english, Urdu, hindi.. u name it.. I'll list the legends as IR, arr AND ALL OTHERS!

  hello every body please know the fact and then post your messages.today only harris albums r toping the charts in all music shops with Kaakha Kaakha and saamy.only his next releases Pepsi and arasaatchi were hugely expected in market.
  He is most wanted md for all the producers but he chooses very few movies to do.the above spoken rest of the MD's has zero value because of there continues flops and Parasuram has been thrashed by the record companies for its poor performance in the shops.so, u all have to pray for them and don't worry about harris.he is clearly walking on the road called success.

  Pranavaa, maybe u r a bit biased towards Harris. As a die-hard ARR fan, i would say that Harris is a good MD. No doubts about it. But he is only good in getting the right sound and rhythm. Basically, his song arrangement is nothing to shout about. he has given hits, but those music instruments which was useed in the particular song has been used by ARR long long ago. What ARR is doing right now is trying to experiment something absolutelt new to the Indian music. As an ARR fan, I too find that Parasuram or Udhaya for the matter doesnt stay too long in my memory, but im sure he will be back, sooner or later....however, i think he is on a different budget now and concentrates more on Hindi and Overseas project. harris is good, but to compare him with Ilayaraja or even ARR is ridiculous. ARR is world wide. Harris is Tamil Nadu and Andhra wide.

  One interesting information about IR's first song is that L.R. Easwari was requested to sing. She underestimated IR and said who is this Guy? Why should I sing for this Guy?
  
  Then Janaki accepted to sing and finally it was a great hit.

  ARR Rahman style of music is available thru out the world. Listen to Backstreet boys, Deep Forest, Carpenters etc to convince yourself. Rhythm based music with Indian Slang is available @ platform shops even in African Countries. So your Big Genious ARR styles wont be accepted other than in India. Whereas IR's style of Music is unique in the world, and you can find such melody fusions only from this Genious here. A Man with vast depth of Music Knowledge, Ragas, Instruments... who has given more than 4500+ tunes, where none is repetitive. He has cleared all the grades of Guiter and Key Board from Trinity of College, London. With his Sound Knowledge, IR can start popularising his unique styles of Music outside the World. But, he seems to be least interested in such aspects and stays here as a well frog. (May be his 'AanMeegam' is restricting him to invade other countries with his music.)
