IR Songs - Review

Dear Friends,
As IR fans we are all very aware that his songs r considered to be the best ones among the hit songs of the world. But I read one news in Anantha Vikatan and went to the site specified by them. There they have given a list of IRs songs which are said to be copied for old western/classical etc from english albums
I Really feel very much for this. And I think there may be a familiarity in the songs but cannot be said as copy

  For your information, The site is being maintained by Karthik. He is a regular forumer here. Infact you should probably look at 'Copying in TFM' thread. This is where various forumers bring to his attention details of their doubts of inspirations/copies and he then investigates and puts it on his site.
  
  If you notice most of the songs are termed as inspirations. Kasme Vaade and the 'Sound of music' songs are straight lifts but others are merely inspirations. An inspiration could mean anything and can vary in various degrees.
  
  All artist get inspired from one source or other. If not inspired no artiste can come up with any art. Especially in the early stages on one career there tend to be more inspirations until an artist settles on a style and matures. Do not let that worry you. For a guy who did nearly 100 movies in the first 5 years and have completed 800 movies, this is a very minor percentage.
  
  Inspirations are not common only in 'Music' profession, it happens in every profession , atleast I know it is true in my profession (software). Guys in my profession (software) would understand what I am talking about. All, IMHO.

  After a long time I see quite a nice posting by a fellow forumer...I initially thought that some body down the page would have blaster the tread started and Karthik...Thank God that has not happened...I too maintain that every one is inspired to various persontage and that is quite natural and not wrong at all.
  
  Karthik doesn't spare anybody and he is doing a great job...his efforts are now being recognised elswe where also..Good.
