Any body have a movie copy of CHOE's all time classic Mohammed Bin Tuglaque?
This was banned in India in the late 70's for its intense criticism of the political system in India.

Its a great movie which would explain the trend of any political era in India. The sattire is really enjoyable although its a shame to come to terms with such state of affairs in our country.

Persons like Karunanidhi, Veeramani, Ramadoss etc.....they dont like Cho....
According to them he is a liar and impartial....
Is it true?

Not at all
1. Cho has a terrific memory power. He remembers what karunanidhi said in 1970 as well
2. He doesnt change sides like what these people do
3. He doesnt suffer from selective amnesia
4. He talkes sense and there is logic in everything he says
No wonder people like Karunanidhi, Veeramani, Ramdoss etc feel uncomfortable with him

Unmaye un vilai enna, judgement reserverved are also great... I have the drama in audio cassette..
E-vii, I remember Mr.Sampath.. It's very hard to get... There were 2 cho' TV serials during the late 80's on doordharshan TV.. one was I think saraswathi sabatham and the other was some '...colony'..or something.. They were too hillarious during that time... I would pay anything to get them if anybody have them on tape..
Ferrari is right.. Cho is an intelligent and unbiased critic and there is logic in everything he says.. Besides he was a great comedian too... watch his old movies like bommalattam, thangapadhakkam, paar magale paar, aayiram poi, thaen mazhai etc..

I happened to watch Muhammad Bin Tughlaq on stage recently. Viveka fine arts were celebrating their golden jubilee and enacted a series of his old plays at Naradha Gana Sabha. Got to watch Madras By Night and Muhammad Bin Tughlaq. The latter is a true classic. The very fact that all that wat he said was applicable to the politically scenario then and is applicable now makes it so brilliant. Cho gave a speech during the interval, thanking the politicians for making his old play relevant in the present scenario too :-)
Somehow i never thought of getting a copy of this! Just struck me!! :-)

Cho,
Flight No.172 CDs are priced at Rs.199. The picture quality is very good. The audio kinda has a buzz at times but nothing to disrupt the dialogues.

Now that we are discussing Cho, I'd like to know if someone can post Cho's 'Saathiram Sonnathillai' drama! This was a play that I remember listening and enjoying while I was in Srirangam in the 80s, on radio. Been trying to find a tape ever since.
Could anybody help?
