  the title kaviarasu was given to kannadasan
  in case of vairamuthu it is not so.
  it is not advisable to use others title.
  for example kavichakravarthi means kambar.
  so people refers a person by title.
  so if we refer vairamuthu by kaviarasar
  then people think of kannadasan.
  vairamuthu falls under kavignnar not kaviarasu.
  vairamuthu should learn some decency by seeing

  kannathasan is a great poem maker best story writer & he had good knowledge with tamil licreture.but vairamuthu hasn't that much of knowledge,he has good knowledge with tamil,comparing with our future poem makers or story writers.king (arasu) is depen on presently who is the winner or leader.in this periode he is the king, so he is "kaviarasu" don't thing & comparing old one and new one. old is gold,but new one is gold for this generation.nowdays who like kannathasan songs(for teen age guys)
  who can give whatever we like? he is the king in our mind.in future it will change, in that time

  even both of them had contributed a lot to the tamil world and leave their name on history , both have their own domain of expertise and remains unattainable in that area.
  
  kannadhasan simplifies lot of illakia padalkal into his film songs and provide the common man to get the knowledge of the illakkiam .

  I can not consider Vairamuthu as KaviArasu. He does not deserve.
  I do agree that every poet, in cinema has to write song for the situation. But when a question was thrown at him, in Junior Vikatan sometime back asking why he was going out of fundamentals (in grammar), he was pointing out at Kambar.
  
  1. I do not agree to have any escape mechanism of pointing out fingers at the fault (I can not comment on the actual Ilakkana mistake by Kambar) since any one can do mistake. I throw a question to Vairamuthu. I am sure his fore fathers (including his father and grand fathers)would have not gone to the schools where he had his education. Their level of education would be certainly very minimal when compared to him. Why did he no point at them and stoped his edu like his fore father? This is applicable to anyone who quotes their forefathers. This is purely escapism.
  
  2. Now Vairamuthu has started the diminishing of Tamil. Tamil is being spoken by 70Mn people across the globe. He lives because of Tamil and he should not play with that kind of attitude. Its just aAlra to the current chief minister of Tamil Nadu who also threatens that Tamil is deminishing. I heard MK's daughter is working in THE HINDU.. Why.. Why this muRanPadu?

  One can not compare Kannadhasan for his style and simplicity in explaining the whole story in a 4minute song with phylophical touch. Vairamuthu lacks, with a unilateral thinking, reserved words (COBOL guy I presume), with nasty explanation
