Articles/pictures of IR.

I have some newspaper/magazine articles and pictures of IR soon after he composed his symphony. Would any webmaster like to post it on this/her website? I would be more than happy to mail a copy that can be put on the web so that everyone can read about our Maestro. I hope doing this is allowed if we quote the source of the articles.

  this applies to all IR fans here. Nothing they do other than that, every time it comes in a new form. This time it is thru Srinath.

  Srikanth, great idea! I am actually looking for a very famous center page article on IR that came in 1985 or so about IR. It was in the Illustrated Weekly. It was an amazing write-up. Anybody can track that. This article was after the revival of IW. Also, in one of the film magazines, someone wrote a fascinating one page description of SADMA songs, particularly the writer was totally lost in vividly describing the YEH ZINDAGI songs preludes and interludes. I kept these, but I lost them when moving to a new house!

  there is a group of self-professed nadunilamaiyALargaL in this TFM DF. most of the time they (pretend) sleep to the extreme right of the center. don't waste your efforts. one cannot wake up those who pretend to sleep.

  i've 3 articles on IR if needed.
  1&2 are 'kumudam'articles by kamalahaasan on IR(he does talk a little ab ARR!! aswell) from 11.8.94 and 18.8.94.
  3)25.9.94 ananda vikatan article on and by(?) IR titled 'ammavukku oru koil'.
  i can send it to whoever is keeping a central tab on IR if u have'nt got these articles.
  i do also have an article ab the symphony from dina thanthi circa '92/3. had a pic of the conductor. i know someone from hte london symphony orch who said he'll give me details re. the composer. i'll find the article soon in my untidy flat if needed by anyone.
