Fazil-Madhavan Tamil film recording begins
Madhavan will do the lead role in Fazil's yet to be named Tamil film. The composing of the film was recently held in Chennai where music is by Ilayaraja. Fazil's Malayalam films remade into Tamil were all hits. The last hit film of Fazil, Aniyathipravu remade into Tamil as Kathalukku Mariyadhai was a hit. It gave Vijay the superstar status and launched Oscar films in a big way. But Fazil who attempted to recreate the magic with Vijay again with Kannukul Nilavu, was a dud at the box office. Fazil then met with a few flops in Malayalam too. His attempt to launch his son was a failure.
Intially, Suryah was to play the lead in the Fazil’s film but now Madhavan has been signed. Madhavan acts in the bilingual in Malayalam and English which is about the life and times of Roby, a Malayalee, settled in the US and working in a Las Vegas casino. The English title for the film will be Nothing But Life, and has been entirely shot in Las Vegas. The film is directed by Rajiv Anchal.

Rajiv Anchal does not give up. He thinks he is MF Hussain-Jkrishnamurthi-Satyajit Ray combined. Look at Guru, IR gave super compostions, but film was so abstract, blind and supremely boring. Then he did Beyond The Soul, which was first and last heard at a film festival it seems all his screenplay is unprepared and improvised? How far to you go in that mode? I may be wrong, but if RA has to work with someone like IR, please prepare thoroughly and not waste it on personal intellectuallity (like mentality ;---) Please leave out abstract concepts in movies and focus on meaningul entertainment. Good Luck, RA.

T Muthu,
RA's movie with Madhavan has Vidyasagar as the composer, I think...
The above report focusses on Madhavan and mixes the two movies, i.e. one with RA and the other with Fazil...
It is for the Fazil movie that IR is the composer, I think...

I haven't seen Guru, but my understanding is MohanLal was the one interacting with IR, because I think I remember IR vaguely mention that Mohanlal gave the go ahead to go 'all out' on the music, which prompted IR to invite the Hungarian musicians to India. As usual Kamal, went one step further to take IR to Hungary itself. I guess MohanLal was the producer for Guru.

Guru is an excellent movie. The concenpt is different and the presentation is really fantastic one. Raja's music, costumes, the locations and the screenplay are the hightlights of this wonderful movie. The scene in which all blind people get the vision power and their reactions are beautifully conceived by IR in his BGM. Every IR fan must watch this movie. Before HeyRam, this is the first movie, in which IR worked with Hungerians. I nearly watched this movie for more than 10 times so far. Rajiv Anchal has done an excellent work in this movie. I heard this movie was nominated for Oscars.
