Famous carnatic singer M.S. Subbulakshmi passed away on Saturday Night... She was the face of Carnatic music for a long time...She has sung in a lot of Tamil movies in the 40s and 50s..

  'vidiya vidya raamaayaNam kettu......'!
  Babaji, "kaaRRinilE varum geetham" from the movie "meeraa"! She sang all the songs in that movie.
  And how many movies you can remember where the morning scene is usually shown with an audio of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatham by M.S in the background!?
