  Definitely. I am crazy about the following songs.
  
  1. En Vazhvile - Johny
  
  2. Adi Penne - Mullum malarum
  
  3. Iru Paravaigal - Niram maaraatha pookkal
  
  I find it difficult to distinguish between Shilaja and Jency. It seems Jency settled in Australia renouncing TFM.

  oru iniya manadhu from johny has some fantastic interludes and is also an evergreen melody from jency.
  
  'engo pogudhe' from puthiya vaarpugal is a haunting number.
  
  "deiveiga raagam" from ullasap paravaigal is another good number.
  
  can't remember too many songs from jenci since she first of all sang a few nos. mostly under IR and all of them are atleast 15 years old.

  I share Kartik's opinion. Her voice made the songs hard to decipher. Maybe that's why IR also stopped using her. It may not be relevant here, but IR's best intros are undoubtedly Mano and Chitra.

  Jency's another memorable song is "Theiveega Ragam" -haunting number from Ullasa Paravaigal.

  Jensi sang "thamthana namthana thALam varum"
  (puthiya vArpugaL) along with Sasireka.
  IR later made the comment that the singers were
  able to bring out ONLY 75% of what he imagined/planned.
  
  This song is one of the best from IR - I used to
  imagine how the song would have been as IR planned. Great song.
  
  IR was always in a hurry then - he would have
  puzinjified the singers till he gets the stuff he
  wanted.

  I think "KAlai paniyil Adum malargal"

  Now. One of my all time favourites of Jency's is
  
  'Mayile Mayile Un ThOgai EngE' - Jency, SPB.
  
  She could have made waves with her voice had she improved her diction and her Sruthi BEdham, (the latter according to SriRAm Lakshman)!
  
  But then, one cannot deny almost all of her songs in Tamil were great hits.

  What about "Kadhal Oviyam Padum Kaviyam" song? It was sung by Jency with IR. HEr prononciation was atrocious. SHe sings "Neeyum Nayakhan", too tamillish.

  Infact most of the good tunes by IR was spoiled by Jency
  Examples:
  Adi Penney from Mullum Malarum(Beautiful tune, lyrics, but voice????)
  Mayiley Mayiley (Beatiful voice by spb, but Jency sings like a 10 year old with screeching voice)
  Almost all Jency's song belong to that category.
  
  I still wonder why IR chose Jency when he had wonderful voice by VJ (Probably some clash)

  Erichal varakkoodiya 'tamilish' words siladhu irukku. For eg, Padma, Thavam etc which are mostly mispronounced in Tamil like Bathma, Dhavam!
  
  aAnalum Vimal quote panna songla Tamilish-aa enna irukkunnu puriyala. If anything it's highly non-tamilish because 'nAyak' is the actual word which is used here in tamil as 'nAyagan': It should be pronounced as 'nAyagan' (Tamilish) unlike 'nAyakan' or 'nAyakhan' which is actually right but cannot be taken as Tamil.
  
  edhu eppadiyO Jency did not pronounce it tamil-like!

  The songs "Kaadhal oviyam" from Alaigal oyvadhillai (1981) and "Poo malarndhida nadamidum pon mayilE" from Tik tik tik (1982) are one of Jency's last songs in TFM, I guess. Can't seem to think of songs by her after these. Most of her songs in IR's music were in the 70s.

  Viswa as far as i know her last song in TFM is'paniyum neeye malarum naanae paruva raagam paaduvom' from the film 'pani malar'(a duet with SPB under SPB's music-i think Ravinder and Vijayshanthi were the actors)

  Jency is a good singer.All the songs of Jency are hits.I don't remember even a single song which is not a hit. She has sung some memorable ones under IR(Kathal oviyam in Alaigal oivathilai,Johnny etc).

  I am really interested to know more about Jency and what her present state of affairs is. I always get confused between her voice and Sujatha's voice. Though her voice was not all that good, it is strange that most of her songs with IR were great hits, content and melody wise....

  `adi peNNE' in muLLum malarum is an enchanting Raja number sung by Jency. Your site doubts whether this is Jency or Sujatha...(I played it on my machine for a few secons and can't help humming it for the past two days. What's more, my wife too is humming around this great song..a big thanks to Rex!)

  Devi Senthoora kolam, was sung by S.Janaki and jaychandran. ( I just baught the CD of Jayachandran)
  
  In the movie Pani malar,It was madavi who acted with Raviner.
  
  Jensy spoiled some of the best songs of IR?
  
  I think we talk here about Jensy just beacause of the striking difference in her voice when compared with the then existing female singers'. (like harini or anuraha sri ram, at present)
  
  I think her voice was bit childish. However, that was very fresh and a big plus.

  How come one of the all-time-great numbers got missed out? `Ayiram malargalE malarungal....' from niRam mARatha pookkaL... This song had three singers (Jency singing one portion as solo while MV/SPS sing the rest as duet)...despite a little bit of pronunciation/stress issues, she has memorably rendered this song...
  
  ...no, not just a song, it's an experience, nostalgia & all...what a classic beat pattern & rhythm for the pallavi, never to be repeated again in any song, to my knowledge...
  
  ...Raja would've thought `enough of it' as this song is repeated umpteen times in the movie, in parts or as BGM:-)

  Some times(maybe 3months) back Jensi participated at SABTHA SWARANGAL on SunTV. She is settled in Kerala with her husband. It was the same amazing voice to hear the song "En vaanile.. Ore vennila.." on that prog.I don't think is there anyone to replace Jensi? I llove her voice.
