Deevali Audio Releases 2001

IMHO I would rate the releases as follows
1. Nandha - Yuvanshankar Raja
2. Thavasi - Mani Sharma
3. Paarthale Paravasam - AR Rahman
4. Shajahan - Deva
5. Alavanthan - Shankar-Esan-Loy

what do you think?

  Thavasi is by Vidyasagar and Shajahan is by Mani Sharma !!
  
  I haven't listened to Thavasi yet - So My rating goes as 1, 4, 2 and 5

  no need to turn this into another ugly lashing on all other releases than u'r obvious preference... if u take a second to observe, the ratings r mere personal preference and not how it sell to the masses.
  
  As for my liking... 1. Nandaa, 2. Shajahaan=PP, 4. Aalavandaan. I have to admit that i absolutely hated PP when i first heard it just like i did Aalavandaan. But after a few repeated listenings... i grew fond of neethaan. Alage/Anbe sugama, Nadirthinna more than i aniticipated and i'm sure the atlest another of the songs will make it way in too. But then again none of us have really given that chance Aalavandaan deserved simply because it wasn't much like a typical ST with just nice(?) songs and have irrelevance to the movie.. I reserved my jugdement until after the movie release as it would make more sense to derive a conclusion.

  Are we talking about cassette sales here ? Then I don't think any of us can talk in this thread - I was hoping TFMDFers are rasikarkaL than market surveyors ...

  Rightfully said...... have u had a chance to have taste of Alagi or Thavasi? Us people here in uk are increasingly being denied of instant access to audio releases.... it gets here a week or two late!!!

  If you had heard the song "needhan en desiya geetham" from PP the new singer balram sounds very much like yesteryear PB Srinivas , very very soft and nice voice
  I started liking this song just becos of his voice

  I heard the Thavasi songs and they are better than PP.
  Kannan I too am in Uk at present and I have found a place to get my cd's at the same time as Chennai release.Mail me if you want details.

  Surprise pack is Shajahan which has really nice tunes including solo by current craze KayK.Next ofcourse PP...BTW...Manadhai thirudi vittai is also releasing for Deepavali...Adai..vittuteengale....KUTTI..kku 1200 vote vizhunda forum il....No1 and 2...yaarukku pogumnu therinjum...ene indha madhiri thread arambikereenga...

  the surprise pick is Shajahan, Manisharma did a terrific job in his second movie. PP, as noted in various threads is a disastor - may be the expectations are sky high, but repeat listening the songs are ok. Alavandhan - need to see the movie. thavasi - snongs are good.

  Mark : 6/10
  
  2) Damakku damakku dam - Bavadarini - folk type
  Mark : 6.5/10
  
  3) Un kuthama dn kuthama - IR - sad type melody
  Mark : 9.999/10
  
  4) Oru sundari vanthalam - ArunMozhi, Unni Krishnan, SathanaSargam, MalgudiSuba, Parthiban,PramidNadarajan, MaragathamSriram - chorus melody
  Mark : 9.5/10
  
  5) Oliyilae therivathu devathaiyaa? - IR, Karthik, Bavadarini - melody
  Mark : 9.5/10
  
  6) Kruvi kodanja koiyappalam - PushpavanamKuppusamy, Swarnalatha - folk song
  Mark : 6/10
  
  Quick Review

  But the 'Un kuthama en kuthama' will be another super song which will be the all-time favourite of IR fans and melody wishers
  
  Also the song 'Sundari Vanthalam' is a nice song with a lot of singers, first sube sung then sathana then unni.. wov great experience. But it remember to me the song 'Oru maina kunju .. dandakkudandan dandanda dandakkudandan'.

  Sure, it will be milestone in singer Karthik's carrier.

  All of IR fans,
  
  please buy a cassette/CD of azagki (In the cassette cover the spelling of this file title is azagki)
  enjoy the sweet melodies, melting melodies
  
  Finally a few words
  
  a simple and excellent songs from our mastro
  The song are not expected in TFM (even in IR fans),
  But it prooves again the IR's touches
  I pray for super hit and commercial success for the songs and also the film by Thankar Pachan (Oli oviyar)

  whi IR is giving chances to bhavatharini only now a days...what happend to the legends like s.janaki..
  i think that's why his songs are not hit now a days...

  I would agree with ratings and I have been liseting the Tavasi songs it is very miled and Good.Particularly song of Jesudas and Co Is good off course all the songs.
  
  Some time i even feel It is Better than PP
