Ilayaraja is a Vengaayam

I feel that this applies to IR very aptly. If you take apart all the hype surrounding him there is actually nothing.

His prowess in BGM, fan base, prolific in songs, etc are all merely hype created to hide his lack of talents. His lead in TFM during the 80s were largely due to his assocation with good directors, popular actors, brand names, personalities such as Ganagai Amaran & Vairamuthu, lack of real competition, and the usual jalra koottam.

The purpose of this thread is to remove all the layers surrounding IR and expose the real IR.

  IR was a "Vengaayam" during the 80's & gradually been transformed into "Pannadai" during the 90's. In fact you can describe his fans on this forum as "Vengaayam" because they don't write anything sensible due to "Pannadai" effect.

Someone, somewhere said that the meaning of life is like looking for the core of an onion, as you keep taking out the layers, there is more to peel, and it extends to infinity.   to criticise something/somebody, first, u should have the elegibility. think twice whether u have it or not. then, the person should have a well balanced (not biased) mind. third, he has to wait for comments, and fianally has to tell his own comment. but here i don't see any of the above.

  if u r to criticise musicians, take all of them, criticise, why do u personally talking about IR.

  IR is a Vengayam. Very true. But if U know something about cooking tasty food then u must have known that Vengayam is a natural fit. Likewise IR is a natural fit for tasteful and classic music to your ears, Mind, Body and Soul.
  
  Nijam, I think U have too much of heat in UR body so kindly have some Onion that will subside the heat
