Definitely the songs in Rajasthan is no comparision to Guru agreed, But one shoudld also compare the movies as such and set our expectations according to that, considering a commercial movie, What IR has done is justified, and the songs are not that bad. Ofcourse taste varies from people to people, one of my friend (used to sing for light music troops) today was listening to Rajasthan song "Sorgathil" for the first time and he is happy about the number.Similarly I also like the number "Jinjillara" but for the little deviation in the songs before both the stanzas.

I haven't listened to NMK yet. From the reviews in TV i heard the songs r NOT good (doesn't mean i go by their words.after all, these r the guys who claimed MEM is a great album !!!! :-)))))) )
BTW, what happened to ur uploading of BGM pieces. I am eagerly awaiting Athma's BGM (appearance of GOD. i wud rate this on par with aruna kirana and chirakkAtti's preludes) and that of housefull.

IMO NMK is a good album, while Rajasthan is an OK
album(not that great).
Yes i remember giving a word reg Athmaa BGM, sorry guys i will fulfil your wishes soon. Actually i have to encode Houseful, Mudhal mariyadhai BGM which i already have recorded in the cassette.

Friends, just yesterday I bought some of cassettes I have been longing to buy:
Anthapuram (telugu) Outstanding
Kaadhala Kaadhala - KR Outstanding - I am impressed with Laila, Laila and Kaasu Mela
Poovellam Kettuppar- YSR- Outstanding three songs of the six
ANURAGAKKOTTARAM - Malayalam IR 1997. Has anyone heard of this album? I must say that one say is excellent. Two are okay. Two are average. Overall, if you want review I can do it. Let me know.
At the outset, KR is a devastating arranger, 10 times ahead of his father. But, you know his tunes while complex and pleasing are not easily flowing and his interludes need a lot of straightforwardness. So, KR can be a really hollywood style background music genius, but songs he needs a lot of thinking.

What a great score for IR in the interludes of the song "vaikai nadhikarai" from Nilave Mugam Kattu,just out of the world, it is just reminding me "unnai nenaiChen" from Apoorva Sagodarargall.Similarly very brief interlude before second para in "Sutradhe Boomi Thaye" from NMK is just too good.Kudos to IR.Atleast coupld of albumns like this in a year should do.

If you think I agreed with vyaas' statement, you are mistaken. I was sad to read his comment about 'poor old man'. IR after all his contributions to TFM-DF doesnt deserve to be called as "poor old man trying to regain his long lost popularity". Just because he used HH or ilA aruN he shouldnt be thought as following the foot steps of ARR/KR too.
