Information on singer Mahalakshmi

Mahalakshmi's voice and her singing style is very different. She does not have this cloying sweetness of some of the singers of yesteryears. Any information about her ? I have not seen her interviews or pictures anywhere !

  Mahalakshmi is Chennai Based Tamilian Settled in Mumbai.. Her interview was there in Vijai Tv for April 14'th
  She Was introduced by Illayaraja in the Movie Poonthotam-she sang MEetadha oru veenai yenai Meetum neram with HH.
  then she sang many songs for may MD's

  indeed what a wonderful singer. i heard her hindi song Kabhi shaam Dhale from movie Sur. she has great future.

  I like her 'yennavo yennavo', 'yenakoru snaegithi ' in (Priyamaanevalae).But in a stage progarmme she begaved very bad with Hariharan.I think that is a A.R.R's music programme(Makesh Cancer Unity concert).

  Mahalakshmi is one of the best singers we have in the industry. I love her songs from kandukondein..kandukondein and Sur. but i do not her more from her these days....hope the music directors are hearing this or reading this.
