  I love all the songs.
  My favorite is: "Ninaitha varam kettu, manam padikkum oru pattu".
  The rhythm, tune, lyrics, and the female singer's(pl. any one give her name) accent and voice are too good. I love her voice and accent very very much.

  I saw the CD of 'karuvElampoo'. There are 5 songs. All solos - one each by MSV, IR, Sujatha, Uma Ramanan and Bhavathaarini. I haven't heard the songs yet.
  
  In 'kaNNaaLanE' he is supposed to have composed a song which is a forecast on how are songs going to be in 2005.

  Alas, IR is going wrong and wrong and wrong!!
  
  I only prayed he never signed new movies!! Now, he has so many movies on hand and he is sure to lose his identity!! His new recording studio Raja Universal could be one of the reasons, because, that might have dented his coffer to a great extent!!! So he wants to replenish the funds, thanks to all these known, unknown directors, who have started signing him!! I used to wonder as to why he kept quoting the "OOrugaai Appalam" story every now and then!! Now I understand!! He has started "begging" people for movie scores??? If thats untrue, why shouldnt he give these chances to his sons, because, two years ago, he was heard talking to big guys of TFM soliciting on behalf of his sons!!! Why cant he concentrate on independent ventures like symphony, classical performances, researching into new musical patterns, etc., Of late his attitude toward the press is changed!! He invites press, gives them lots of his words, says " I was playing when you guys didnt listen, and I was giving good music, and am giving good music and you better listen to all that stuff and tell me............" But why?? IR needs publicity before releasing his symphony!! He needs a very broader platform to do different things in music!! Calls the press and allows them to shoot a photo of the Hungarian musicians performing for Guru!!No one can deny that these are changes appreciable in IR!! But why?? When he says " Movies like Guru are very rare with emphasis on music, hence, I love to do that" is he not behind money when he signs guys like TPGajendran?? This guy directed a movie called Paattu Vathiyar that slept more no. of hours inside the film box than seeing the light!!
  Why cannot he do five movies a year that carry some story etc., I think KaruvElampookkal is a good move by IR because, a musician at his level signing for film institute students, is something welcome!! E la Valli by Rajini!! If IR is going to sign movies like this, I think he is gonna have a greater fall from grace and may be that would put him in his place for sure!! His "Panchamukhi", carnatic performance on stage, symphony, etc., are just a show off in the lines that he can churn out such things in his career!! (But gemini never sticks on to something!!) If one can keep track of his novelties, they dont lead you anywhere!! He seems to stop abruptly!! I think IR fans should stop looking forward to innovations from him!!Its money! Money and nothing but money!!
  By the way, whats that?? A glimpse of music in 2005, in "Kannalane"?? Nowadays there is no better man than IR to do all these "Bandhaas"!!!

  Gopal - Do not be disheartened. Maybe you should see his signing for new movies as a come-back? I don't think that he is so broke that he has to accept all offers that comes to him. Anyway the listing you see above is only the propaganda bit. Some of these may never see the light of the day. And then some of these movies may take years to complete. Taking all these into consideration - he may only have 10 to 15 releases which certainly will be the the cream of the crop.
  As far as his sons are concerend, IMO I don't think they will even reach the standards of Sirpy or Vidyasagar, leave alone Deva. So there is no point in leaving the field to them.
  You say his attitude to the press and even his outlook in life has changed. And why shouldn't it? A man not only should grow older but should also become wiser. He may just have realised the folly of his previous ways. And turn over a new leaf to become a "people's MD."
  But whatever you, I or anyone says, the songs he has given over the past 20 years are "kaalathaal azhikka mudiyaathevey" and that is a solid fact.

  VidyaSagar? I mean Sirpy / Vidya Sagar/Deva are people who stoop to copy other's music to become popular and make money. It is infact
  a shame why film producers would pour money
  on these people for "Making" Music.
  
  Karthik Raja! He seems to be
  better than YuVan Shankar in more ways than one. From Pandiyanin Rajiyyathil Uyillala
  to Konjum ManJal PooKaL he has come a long way. The orchestration in KonJum ManJaL PooKaL is very good (if you disregard the begining mumboJumbo). Especially the flute piece continuity is an aural Treat. I have heard the bare song Nadiyaoram (Alexander?)
  without the music and the tune is so melodious.
  
  Infact Eira Nila (Yuvan Shanker & Aravindan)
  is much better than anything from Sirpy and the gang.
  
  IMHO, Sons of Raja are much better than the current crop of INSPIRED Music Makers and I sincerely hope they continue to provide great music.

  Gokul - When I talked about IR's sons, I was talking about their commercial success as compared to S, D & V. I'm sure they have given some melodious numbers. But IMVHO, I don't think the sons will go very far.

  hi guys, as for my opinion...before ARR step into
  the Tamil Cinema World IR was the best.His tune/
  muzic for sentimental songs and 'gramiya'songs
  are great.... but once ARR step in here, there
  are alot of new MDs such as vidyasagar & ect.
  But they really try their best to give something
  similar to ARR....it's ashameful...
