Is the song "Entha poovilum vasam undu "original?

I have not heard much of western .But recently when i was searching Short wavw i heard a tune very similar to "Entha poovilum vasam undu"(S.Janaki ,IR,Murattukkalai)Can someone clarify?.

  I have referred the same song in another thread
  "western classical music in songs". Please read
  it.
  
  My guess is that Raja copied a Western Classical music in that song and that is perfectly justified, just like creating a tune from carnatic
