SINGERS AND THEIR MANNERISMS

WITHOUT A QUESTION OF A DOUBT SPB HAS THE BEST MANNERISMS AND EXPRESSIONS WHILST SINGING. THE WAY HE LAUGHS AND CHUCKLES IS JUST SO ENJOYABLE TO LISTEN TO.
THE ONLY OTHER SINGER WHO CMES CLOSE TO HIM IS KISHORE KUMAR
PLEASE POST UR OPINIONS ON THIS TOPIC,

  Yes I agree about SPB not about Kishore, kishore had a horrible voice, the only person that comes next / close to SPB is him self.

  The only singer after SPB who captured my attention for such mannerisms is Karthik. I'm not comparing or claiming that he did an excellant job. But, this guy is trying to do something exceptional. Looks like he has the talants too. All that he needs more chances.

  P.JAYACHANDRAN has got the most fantastic expression while singing.How smoothly he sings!
  
  He is the most decent person in music world.
  
  SPB tries to impress people with talk,but is not good as he talks.But JAYACHANDRAN without expressing much,sings with 100% sincerity.
  
  I heard a news like this about kishore kumar:THAT KISHORE THRAETENED YESHUDAS NOT TO SING IN HINDI.

  This is b*ull sh*t. It is a status of the extreme arrogance of yesudas. It waschis inability to adapt to Hindi language that caused his downfall in Hindi films. His accent which was horrible was his major drawback. His singing in Hindi lacks the subtle nuancing needed for a playback artist. Moreover he has sung several Hindi songs off-key and out of tune, like "ka karoon sajani...". In songs like "hum nahin dukh se ghabrayenge" or "jaaneman jaaneman..." he sounds boring. Yet he shamelessly wanted to join the ranks of legendary playback singers!
  
  I'd rather say it was KJY who monopolized Malayalam film industry and hogged up 33 state awards. I have heard from several Keralites that KJY used to hate Jayachandran's success. KJY has been the only major singer in Kerala for so very long and he continues to attack our ears with his horrible voice (which certainly was divine till around 8 years ago).

  I agree with av. Yesudas so arrogant. He monopolized Malayalam industry. He'd make orchestra members massage his legs and feet after concerts, but that won't happen in bwood, SO Yesudas complains. I know everything.

  KJY's techniques are unbeatable. pronunciation, attitude and other stuff are secondary. Even SPB was amazed by KJY's singing abilities.

  ... which brings another point to mind: if singers and music directors are so arrogant, then how come they have fans from all around? Because not many people know them on a personal level. They only know them for their music.
  
  Furthermore, mds and singers are just as human as you and me. They all use the toilet when they have cramps, they all cough and sneeze when they're sick, they eat when they're hungry, they sweat when they're hot, they shiver when they're cold. They all strive to be gods to some extent, pretty much. They all have their share of flaws just like the rest of us.

  All the singers you people have mentioned above are really great singers. But the comments on KJ and Malayalam movie industry are baseless. Malayalam movie industry is one of the decent India. There is very less (even no) inter artist clash. KJ never suppressed any one, even Jayachandran. Jayachandran says KJ has best voice, so he himself set back in singing many songs. KJ likes Rafi's voice very much.

  purv, that's unwarranted dragging IR into this.
  
  1. Why do you say `not standing another's success' is necessarily 'arrogant'...I thought, it can at best `jealousy'.
  2. Either way, what personal proof do you have that IR was either arrogant or jealous of someone else?

  Yesudas is not arrogant. He monopolized Malyalam film music beacuse of his talent. Nowadays, his contribution comes only 10% of film songs. he focuses on classical music now.
  
  All other singers will take many births to reach his talent (excluding SPB and RAFI)!.
