from Avandhaan Manidhan is an excellent
sOha song with a nice philosophical touch.
MSV's music for this movie has an unusual touch!
Kanndhasan's words:
kadalaLavu kidaiththaalum mayanga maattEn
adhu kai aLavE aanaalum kalanga maattEn
uLLaththilE uLLathudhaan ulagam kaNNaa
adhai uNarndhu koNdEn thunbam yaavum vilakum kaNNaa
are worth recalling when one expects something very
eagerly but it eludes him/her. There is a touch
of JK's philosophy in the last two lines above.
Although you typically think of this song as a
sOha song, I think it is sung by the
character when the sOham is gone after a
deep realization in the mind; the same is the
case with satti suttadhadaa.

and aattivaiththaal are used differently
(I think) as follows:

if you mean I am a tool in the Lord's hands
then you say: KadavuL ennai aattuvikkiRaan;

if your wife is pestering (nochchufying) and
controlling you all the time, then you say:
ivaL ennai aatti vaikkiRaaL.

In the song we know which is the right one.
aattuviththal is a single word; it
becomes goat-selling (even that, only
in a collochial sense) only if you break it!

Only the first choice is correct. It says, if the God wishes that the man should make a move in a way he wants then he will do. This is what we say in our daily life as "fate".

First of all, if it is "goat-selling" in Thamizh, it will be aadu vithaal or aattai vithaal.
