whyKR can't shine like YSR?

among the 3 children of isaignani,karthik is elder and much talented.but why can't he shine even like his younger brother?

  KR has been branded as 'unlucky MD' by our kodambakkam. None of his movies became bit hit though the songs were good. Luck plays a major role and not telent in tamil film industry.

  I think Karthik will get a break soon like 'Nantha' for YSR and then we are gonna be showered with youthful and yet melodious tunes again...lets wait and see if 'Album' can give him the break...

  In Cine field you need to be lucky. This means your first film should be lucky. Atleast 2nd or 3rd. Though KR musically consistant all the films he worked with fall flat and he got into 'unlucky' cadre. Now Dum Dum Dum proved it all wrong but then I don't why he is not getting many offers. I strongly believe he is better than YSR.

  I fully agree about luck factor, still film need to become a hit. all kr films (except ddd) are not a great hit. thats why he is not noticed much..

  Even YSR films are not hits,his songs are the best part of all his movies. All the films ahve no story and are usually only run for days for the songs. KR has good movies but cannot deliver good music.

  Murali ,i don't agree iwthu that KR cannot deliver good music ..He has deliverd it in ULLASAM ,GRAHAN ,16 DECEmBEr ,DUMM DUMM DUMM ,ALBUM ..It is the question of luck too ..
  in my opnion ,KR is the one of the few directors whose music is bit pleasant ,using less western music
  
  YSR is heavily western ,not long lasting

  Vel, Veesum Kaatrukku was a straight lift from colours of the wind in Pocahontas. What creativity does KR have. He is no way near as talented as YSR.

  I always wondered why people didn't take notice of the excellent work KR had done in 'Bible ki kahaaniyaan' TV serial, some 10-15 episodes of which were telecast on DD years ago!!!!

  That was a superb observation. I was wanting to mention it. Bibile ki kahaniyaan had some amazing music from KR.. Its really unlucky people never associate him with that.. Probably because luck ditched him again (as telecast was stopped with just 15 episodes) :)

  Yes,
  I watched it and I mentioned that long ago in this forum. But only the title music was by KR the episode BGM was probably by Louise Bank.
