What happened to Jency

Remember this singer, what happened to her?

Can we pls list some of her songs

  In AIR, they announced her name for the first few songs as Jency Anthony. Within a few months, for whatever reason, they started using only Jency!
  
  My favourites are:
  1. Namthana Namthana
  2. Idhayam poguthe
  3. Vaan Megangale, all 3 from 'Pudhiya Varppugal'
  4. 'Mayile, Mayile' from 'Kadavul Amaithu Vaitha Medai' (This song in pure Hamsadhwani was Raja's own favourite 22 years back!)
  5. "Meen kodi theril Manmadha Rajan oorvalam pogindraan" - Thai Pongal (Of course, you have to pardon the "RRRR" in therrrril, rrrrrajan, oorrrrrvalam etc.,)
  6. Adi Penne, ponnoonjal aadum ilamai- Mullum Malarum

  C V, I too love her voice. Almost all her songs were hits. She rose so high in a span of 5 years and disappeared suddenly. She sang exclusively for IR, except for one song for GA and one for SG. I remember most of her songs:

  I vaguely remember Nithya (who is seen in TV serials these days!) as the star in Kadavul Amaithu Vaitha Medai. Saravanan will know better!

  Kadavul amaitha medai had Sivakumar and Sumithra in the lead. Mayile Mayile was featured on this pair. PB Srinivas sang his only song for IR in this film-'Thendrale nee pesu'. Other songs include 'Vaanil'-SJ & co and 'Thangaduraye'-SPS.
  The film was directed by Devaraj-Mohan

  I hope you are the same person posting in VJ songs thread. Are u an encyclopedia of TFM? Many can remember songs and singers , but you seem to know films, lyric authors, music directors and actors/actresses.

  In Kokkarakko of Gangai Amaran, in the song "Geetham Sangeetham, neethaane en kaadhal vedham", is the female humming by Jency?
