I am illiterate as far as music goes. I however, appreciate music and explanation of a few terms by the knowledgable among newtfmpage regulars will surely help. Please illustrate with examples wherever possible
1. music arrangement
2. orchestration
3. re-recording (is it the same as BGM?)
Can't think of any more now. But will add to list as and when.
Thanks a lot!

my guess:
In olden times, they would have recorded the
actors speak and things like shutting a door etc,
at the shooting site.
In later times, they would have started re-recording the audio in studio to get more clarity and control over the dialogues. Etc. Since Music
was added during this time, it would have been part of the 're-recording process'.
while shooting a movie they may record the audio of the actual dialogues etc and use it as a

forget the last sentence. I was trying to say,
'even now, they may record the audio of actual dialogues and use it as a guideline during re-recording.'
In any case, this separation of shooting and adding audio, gave rise to lot of innovations like
using a better voice, playback singing and dubbing into multiple languages.
