Who is Madhu Balakrishnan?

we have heard him sing a couple of songs in Bharathi. Excellent renditions, both of them. Now I had not heard of this guy before nor heard him since. Can someone please tell me a little about Madhu Balakrishnan? Was Bharathi his first movie assignment? Has he sung other songs since?

  Its a good question you raised, I never thought about it, Who is this Madhu, is he an IR find or like Harish who made a comeback with Bharathi ?
  
  After Bharathi, He has sung in Aaandaan adimai and in KR's first Kannada movie.,

  He has excellent voice modulation. For example in Madurai (Kandaen Kandaen), Bose (Vaitha Kann)
  Parthiban Kanavu (Kana Kandenadi), Pithamagan (Piraye Piraye). He definetely has a classic voice that suits many moods. Also, I like the fact that his voice sounds remarkably pleasant in high and low pitches. Excellent vocal range. Superb execution. Simply Marvelous. A singing phenomenon.
