I found this name in my cassette. She sang thalayai kuniyum thaamaraye with SPB from the film oru odai nathiyaagirathu.I want to know who is this S.Rajeswari .Is she the one who sang thottakaara chinna maama (M.S.Rajeswari)?
I also want to know some details on oru odai nathiyaagirathu film (the stars in the film, director, MD, producer)
what is S.Rajeswari's first song?

  puvanes: MS Rajeswari belonged to another time, another era.
  
  S Rajeswari is an accomplished classical singer, whose tapes on the basics of Carnatic Music were once very popular. IR brought her to film music by making her sing for Manorama in the classic song 'Iai arasi ennalum'- Thaai Mookambigai-1982, where she valiantly matched notes with PS (for KRV) and SJ (for Saritha).
  
  'Thalaiyai kuniyum thamaraiye' was her next, and perhaps only other film song.
  
  Oru Odai Nadhiyagirathu-1983, starred Raghuvaran, Sumalatha, Manochitra (TS Baliah's daughter) and others. It was directed by Sridhar.It came in the wake of the massive success of Shekhar Kapoor's Masoom, which in turn was inspired by Erich Seagal (Man, Woman and Child?)--but this Tamil adaptation was a massive flop.
  
  IR's score was the saving grace: 'Thalaiyai kuniyum thamaraiye'-SPB, S Rajeswari, 'Kanavu ondru thondruthu'-SJ, 'Thendral ennai muthamittathu'-Krishnachandar, BSS, 'Rathiri pozhuthu'-JC, SPS were all remarkable songs.
  
  Addendum: The same story was again made on Tamil: Poo Poova Poothirukku-1987, stg: Prabhu, Saritha and Amala. Dircted by Azhagappan and Music by T Rajendar.
  
  Balumahendra tasted success when he made the same story in Malayalam-Olangal stg. Amol Palekar, Poornima Jayaram.
