Can we put aside all the squabbles and talk about POSITIVE stuff for once?

I suggest that we cross three eras of MSV, IR & ARR and choose one particular kind of songs, and post our favourites of each era. Only one each please.

An example:

Mother's love

MSV - Thaayillaamal naanillai
IR - Ammavendru azhaikkaatha uyirillaiye
ARR - Uyirum neeye uravum neeye

Each one beautifully expresses the love of a mother in their own way.

Similarly, choose your favourite love song, sad song, funny song, etc etc.

Condition is all three MDs must be covered with ONE song each.

What's the purpose you may ask...Can We Have Some Fun?

Good choices Sabesan. Those three are fun songs. If given a chance I would have chosen Oh jaane from Thenali for ARR. Then all three would be Kamal songs. :)

Which movie is this song from
ARR- Uyirum neeye uravum neeye.

The lyrics reminds me of a Maraghadha Mani song.
Mazhayum Neeye, Veielum Neeye, Adadaaaa... one of my all time favourites. A wonderful song.

sridhar, 'kaadhodudhaan naan paaduven' is by VKumar.

and i dont think 'idhu sugam sugam' comes under M&M category

Thee Thee Thithikkum Thee(thiruda thiruda).. and Rakkozhi Rendu (uzhavan).. Two beautiful songs in this category..from ar rahman.. dont know, if errani kurradhani gopala(kadhalan) can be included as well..

Oh God. That's not MM. That's a Sanga Cheyul (Sangam Poetry), which talks about the the lady who is waiting for the man to touch him (some thing like that).

It is neither mukkal nor monagal.
Most of them who have ARR are probably largely misinformed about him. NOM to anybody. But, some how people use to assume negative things about him.

ARR comedy song example can be:
Aththini Baththini and Thenali oh from thenali.
He has done less comedy films.

hey... 'Athini chitthini' is not a comedy song.. it was picturised comically... but the song is a wonderful one. i heard the song first b4 the movie came and i thought it would be picturised in the range of 'hai rama' with all seriousness... but the movie plot/director had different ideas :-) and its still a good song.

'Humma humma' a M&M...? :-)) :-)) am having fun...:-))

Awe, Nyaayaru oli mazhaiyil was sung by Kamal himself. I don't blame you for thinking that it is MSV's voice. :)
