has advent of FM radio increased the music lovers need for more filmi music?

After the introduction of F.M in AIR, the number of listeners to vivid Bharathy and other channels have been considerably decreased.
This could be attributed to fact that the programmmes on air from these stations are better, more filmi based, and are packaged interestingly too.This leads us to important question that does filmi music dictate the popularity of a radio station??
Or is it the better it has been aired, or better songs being selected?

  Dear Friend, Greetings. Yes I am sure the advent of FM made VIVID BHARATHI dull and the variety and the way of presentation style are made FM audience increse Sterio effect ,quality wise is is good, but these are all applicable only to the listeners within the range of FM availability.

  I dunno much about MUMBAI and other FMs. But Chennai is heaven and hell, both rolled into one.

  Vividh bharathi sucks !
  
  I remember between 8:30 and 9:30 madras time they used to broadcast ungaL viruppam. In this one hour there would probably be 3-4 songs. Rest of the time is is the stupid ads. Even these 3-4 songs would have the beginning and end music chopped off for increased ad time.

  Is the hindi vividh bharathi available online, like some other radio channels? We can logon to that site and listen to music while we use our PCs.
